Thanks to an artbook leak, some new details about Portkey Games' Hogwarts Legacy are starting to appear online ahead of the game's launch on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S next month. The most eye-catching bit of information we've spotted is how long the game's main campaign will take to beat.
The now-deleted tweets (via VGC) leaked a bunch of details from the game's official artbook, revealing that Hogwarts Legacy will take players around 35 hours to complete. The book also says to expect that time to double to around 70 hours if you want to see everything the game has to offer, all side content included.

A lot of the information from this artbook leak has been gathered on Reddit, but be warned, it contains a bunch of Hogwarts Legacy spoilers. The post even contains a link to an artbook image showing part of the game's map, so yeah, consider this your spoiler warning!
35 hours of story mode gameplay sounds like plenty to us, especially when you consider the amount of side content this game seems to also contain. We'll see how the open world RPG shapes up when it hits Xbox Series X and Series S on February 10th, with the Xbox One version launching later on April 4th.
Does this sound like a solid campaign length to you? Let us know what you think!

Hogwarts Legacy does not exist in a vacuum. There are important discussions being had about the views and opinions held by the creator of the Harry Potter universe – views and opinions which we do not agree with.
Our goal is to create and foster a positive environment for people – all people – to discuss and celebrate video games, not to amplify ignorance or provide a forum for unconstructive arguments. As per our community rules, we do not accept any form of hate speech on our platform.
@Kaloudz JK Rowling views on Trans rights.
@Kaloudz The same warning is over on PushSquare as well. it is basically to prevent people spewing hateful comments towards each other over the opinions of the writer, instead of discussing about the game. Thats why these topics get these warnings.
I agree with you that 70 hours to complete a game is fine for an open world game to 100% it (which i probably will if i really like it)
Always happy to support RPGs with deep narratives/character customization!
70 hours, great! It'll take me twice that then as I'll explore every nook and cranny.
That's great run time. So hyped for this game. Been looking forward to this since 2020.
That’s a fair length for a game of this scope. I wanted to get it on switch but I think I will buy on series x.
@Kaloudz yeah most are like that but there are certain posters on pushsquare that always bring it up, so i guess PX covering itself.
controversy aside, this will be one of the biggest sellers of the year, regardless if its a 4 or 9/10
Damn, I was glad that warning wasn't here on PureXbox in the few last news about the game.
Oh, well.
That's a perfect length for me. I'll probably want more by the end of it, but super hyped.
This and Wo Long are THE games for me.

“Please be good, please be good...”
Was thinking about this until i realised it is 30% more on next gen consoles compared to Steam
@YourNameHere I don't know why but the track,
The Shamen- Ebeneezer Good
Springs to mind after your comment 😂
I finally caved in and pre-ordered the game. Technically, it was my boyfriend who secretly did it since our anniversary is in February LOL. I'm trying to go in as blind as possible, but from the snippets I've seen, we might be looking at a potential GOTY. I'm so going to use the unforgivable curses muhaha 😈
My copy of the Hogwarts Legacy art book was literally delivered to me yesterday. Super stoked for this game, 3 weeks to go!!!
The author's views are one thing. However, my biggest issue is that this game is much more expensive (again) on consoles compared to PC. So it leaves me in a pickle. It'll probably come down to performance - if the console version is locked to 30fps on top of being much more expensive that will push me towards the PC version (my PC is more powerful than my Series X anyway).
