Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that various Xbox games had been classed as either "verified" or "playable" on Valve's new Steam Deck device, and now another 16 games have been officially added to the list.
Not all of these are necessarily new to the Steam Deck, as the latest roundup includes all the titles that were added since April's update, but nevertheless it's good to see Xbox continuing to support the excellent new handheld.
Without further ado, here's the list of "verified" and "playable" new Xbox titles:
Verified
Playable
- Halo Infinite
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Forza Horizon 4
- Fallout 4
- State of Decay 2
- Tell Me Why
- Quake Champions
- Fable - The Lost Chapters
- ReCore: Definitive Edition
- LocoCycle
In addition to these "verified" and "playable" Steam Deck games, Microsoft and Valve also partnered up to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to the device earlier this year, which is currently the only way to play Xbox Game Pass games on there.
We're hoping the next step is for Xbox Game Pass games to be available natively on Steam Deck in 2023, without having to go through the cloud. In fact, we'd love to see Valve bring Xbox Game Pass to Steam itself next year!

Glad they're working on more support. If PC Game Pass came to Steam Deck then that'd be a big plus for me.
The Steam Deck is very expensive, and it'd be easier to justify the cost if I didn't also have to pay extra for new games to play on it.
Great news really, and I agree ^ I hope Game Pass officially comes to the deck without the need to stream.
Nothing on here is new to its pre-existing status on SteamDeck. Xbox apparently thinks SteamDeck owners don't know how to read. Gamepass native on Steamdeck will, unfortunately, never happen. It would require the Windows Xbox App to run natively on a Linux machine. It's still odd to me that Sony supports Steamdeck better than Xbox does. But it is Linux after all.
I’d love a Steam Deck and more native Xbox support would be a huge incentive to me actually acquiring one in the future. I mean, that’s in addition to the support it already receives from Sony.
@Krysus It's possible it could also come in the way of linking your Microsoft account to Steam and allowing those games that are free to download on Game Pass free to download on Steam. Or Microsoft could develop a native Linux App for such a purpose.
Never say never - where there is a will, there is a way.
@GamingFan4Lyf I would love more consumer friendly practices. But what you're talking about is essentially conceding a purchase to a competitor. The BEST we could hope for is a native Xbox App. But I seriously doubt that will happen. Even then, with Microsofts weird deal with DRM's, who knows if that would be playable when offline.
@Savage_Joe @Krysus Except that Game Pass PC does have the ability for Offline play...just like Steam...so not sure the issue there.
All I am saying is that Valve is happy to talk specifics and I am sure Microsoft is as well. The two companies can figure out something.
It's amazing what can happen when companies are willing to come to the table and hash things out.

😁
@Savage_Joe True. But never say it's impossible.
I mean, I bet Nintendo fans never thought they would see the N64 versions of Rare titles return "home", yet....
Is a Steam Deck worth buying if i own Series X, Playstation 5, Switch and a Retro Box which has literally thousands of games from about 1960 to early 90’s. It has an arcade section too with hundreds of coin op versions of games?
Have a Steam Deck and happy to have one but don’t have much chance to play any games on it when there’s games I can already play on my Xbox. Plus there’s still so many games that can’t be played on Steam Deck at the moment.
