Poll: Are You Happy With January 2023's Xbox Games With Gold?

Another couple of games that I won't add. Some of us have standards I would be embarrassed if someone saw these.

Waste of time almost. I have GPU so none of this affects me.
Bet we see some change to Gold this year or even it being killed off.

My guess is that the rumored Game Pass ad-supported tier is going to replace Live Gold and will be the cheapest option to pay for online (cause it ain’t gonna be free), and if the price is indeed $3/€3 per month it’s actually going to be very popular with many gamers (I’d pay whatever I need to just to get rid of the ads but I know most people don’t have a problem with it).

Getting a bit fed up with these offerings. Was hoping with the 360 games going that the budget so to speak would be increased. I don't mind if these GWG aren't huge games. But it's almost like they're purposely bad at this point.

I really don't want GWG to go, but do wish they'd be a lot better.

I think GwG has had its day. GPU is the way it's going now. They should just do away with it and the requirement to play online that Gold gives you

If Microsoft keeps this up people will start migrating to PlayStation for PS Now.

There is no real reason to keep these polls going. The only games that were worth anything were the X360 games for the last couple of years. With those gone, there is nothing.

The only reason I will keep gold when my sub expires is to retain access to the older GWG games from when they were actually worth downloading.

It is amazing how much better the PS Plus games are than the GWG games. It is embarrassing honestly.

I’m all for having more “free” things added to my library, but these “Gold” games (shudder at the thought of referring to them as such), are grossly overshadowed when you have Game Pass Ultimate.

I still to this day haven’t found a single person mention Gold to me in person, or mention they only subscribe to Gold instead of GPU.

It just seems like a benefit for the sake of a benefit, but when it actually benefits next to no one, it looks more like a waste of resources and money rather than a benefit.

I think coming from a PlayStation eco system for years, I just find the whole thing very confusing and rather pointless. But of course, Game Pass is the big draw for me. So any changes to Gold won’t likely be even seen by me.

To put it simply, PS Plus wins by a country mile over Gold, but GamePass beats PS Plus. So Gold just seems a bit, well, awkward.

Autonauts is pretty decent. I’d be really pleased if I didn’t already buy it at launch.

@IOI I think Microsoft have a problem with the route of having all their games come to pc aswell because charging to play online on their console but then not having a paywall on the same games on pc isn't a good look imo

@FatalBubbles I'd just have gold if I used my Xbox as my primary console but my ps5 is my primary so I just have ps plus essential to play online now & again

Two more games I have never played. Both sound decent, I will definitely claim them.

Both games have "very positive" rating on steam.

As for the games - it’s a shame that I realized today I haven’t claimed my GWG games in months. I used to grab them the moment they hit. I grab my PS+ essentials on day one. But I just can’t be bothered to remember GWG anymore, let alone clog up my library with icons for games I’ll never touch.

The developers could pay me to play these games and I'd still refuse.

You can convert up to 3 years of XBL to Game Pass. At least, I think that is still an option. So, at this point, why is anyone still on XBL and complaining about the monthly free game selection?

Again, they're wasting our & Microsoft's own money with these games. More people would rather see that money go towards making more games backwards compatible, especially the people who know these trash GWG regularly go on sale for under $4 dispelling the lie of '$40 of value' they plaster on. Adding 2 new 360 or OG Xbox games every month along with 2 repeats like they were doing neither the end would be way better, even more so with the ever increasing numbers of BC games being delisted every year.

Xbox really needs to step up this year or they might start losing fan support. They've got the set up they just need to show us a bit more of what the future holds.

Instead of 'moaning' about GwG offerings, if you don't like the games, cancel Gold! You are getting '2' games you probably haven't played before, maybe not even heard of before because they are not 'Mainstream' IP's or with AAA budget marketing to make you aware of it.

2 games that would each cost you more to buy than 1 month of Gold for basically 'free' because you buy Gold for the Online Access in provides, the Sales etc.

Neither of these 2 appeal to me either but until Online Access is 'FREE' on console, I have to Subscribe. I haven't added any of the GwG titles for over a year and won't be adding January's either.

PS+ may offer 'better' games for their Subscribers, but Game Pass Ultimate is far Superior in my opinion to PS+ Premium so I Subscribe to Ultimate as that provides a LOT of 'New' games and only PS+ Essential Tier because I want Online Access regardless of what Games are offered. Its true that PS+ is 'better' value but I couldn't play half the games I would want to play without Gold/PS+ due to needing Online access...
