Ubisoft announced its next core Assassin's Creed game back in September when it unveiled Assassin's Creed Mirage to the world, set in the city of Baghdad. At the time, the company only attached a "2023" release window to Mirage, with no further details on a proper release date revealed at the time. However, a new report suggests the upcoming title may be aiming for an August launch, following internal delays.
Insider Gaming is reporting that Assassin's Creed Mirage is gunning, or should we say "swooping", for an August release window on all platforms. According to the report, the window is subject to change, and has already seen multiple delays, with the game once rumoured to be landing in Spring 2023 instead.
If August is around the time we finally see Mirage, there will have been almost three years between mainline Assassin's Creed titles - the longest gap in the history of the series.
However, AC isn't slowing down - far from it. At a recent showcase, Ubisoft revealed multiple Assassin's Creed games to follow after Mirage, so the team has plenty of ideas in the pipeline for the future.
Are you looking forward to Assassin's Creed Mirage next year? Let us know!

Considering Assassins Creed is my favorite game series of all time, I know its going to be good and cant wait for it to come out! I hope they dont change much but add new things to do and more puzzles and tombs to explore.
Sweet tunafish, can we at least get just a snippit of actual gameplay
Not a huge fan of assassin's creed despite completing the last 3 lol....but I will keep an eye out on this one as I'm intrigued by the smaller scale and apparant focus on actual stealth this time
I'd like to see them make a traditional AC style game as well as the newer RPGesque style they're currently doing. Maybe do what COD does with seperate studios working on different games concurrently.
I am most hyped about the Ninja Asassin creed.
Looking forward to a bit of a return to old Creed ideas but hopefully modernised a bit. There was a reason they moved away from the old formula as it got a little tired. But the Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla branch, while great games in their own right, just aren't good AC games.
