Riot's popular team-based F2P shooter Valorant could apparently be on the way to Microsoft's Xbox in the near future.

A new job listing by the developer (via HItmarker) is seeking a "senior game designer" to "help bring console game products to market". This follows on from a separate listing a week ago, seeking a "game design manager" for console, and similar listings earlier this year.

The description for the game design manger provided some extra detail, noting how the gameplay would be adapted to a gamepad:

"As a Game Design Manager for Console, you will help set a vision and guide designers on bringing VALORANT to new platforms. You will be responsible for upholding design principles that define VALORANT on PC while transforming it into the definitive tactical shooter for Consoles. Through your leadership and guidance, the design team will adapt the highly challenging PC gameplay to better work for an audience playing on gamepad."

Of course, there's been no official mention of a console release at this stage. And there's also been no proper mention of platforms or a release date. Although, Riot did mention in 2020 how it was prototyping Valorant for consoles.

Riot is already on great terms with Microsoft and Xbox though, having previously released Valorant as well as League of Legends on PC Game Pass. If we hear any updates regarding a possible console release, we'll let you know.
