It's now November, and that means we're just weeks out from the release of Obsidian's new title Pentiment. This upcoming release will transport players back to 16th-century Europe to uncover mysteries and shape a community's future.
With this in mind, this historical mystery is now ready to pre-install on Xbox Game Pass. Obsidian Entertainment has taken to social media (via Twitter) to announce this exciting news:
"Preinstall today with Xbox Game Pass!"
The full game, as noted above, will be released on November 15th. You can learn more in our extensive preview feature below. Pentiment will follow Obsidian's full release of its garden-survival game Grounded last month.

This is the strangest release we’ve got left this year. I still have no idea what to think. It’s such an odd and out of nowhere curio for Obsidian.
Can’t wait for this. Looks fantastic and love to see a AAA dev branch out to do something different.

This has me intrigued. Obsidian + Josh Sawyer had my attention, but there's something about it that doesn't quite grab me yet (not just the graphical style, which i'm not a fan of). Still hoping this is brilliant!
This looks like one for the steam deck. Hopefully it will be steam deck verified.
