There's big news coming out of Electronic Arts today with the company announcing it's committing to a "long-term deal" with comicbook giant Marvel (known for Spider-Man, X-Men and more) to develop "at least three" brand new action-adventure games.
These games will be available for both "consoles and PC", and each will have an original story set within the Marvel universe. Here's what EA's COO Laura Miele had to say about this new partnership:
“We have been long-time fans of Marvel and their impressive leadership, so this is a remarkable moment for our developers as well as our players and fans. We look forward to welcoming Marvel into the EA family of creators and know this collaboration will produce exceptional experiences for our players. We can’t wait to see players' reactions when they suit up as Iron Man and do the extraordinary things this Super Hero is known for.”
The first title by Motive Studio is going to be a single-player, third-person Iron Man game, as previously announced in September. It will be led by Olivier Proulx - who worked as a senior producer on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game for Square Enix.
