Arkane Studios has dropped its latest Redfall trailer, just as Halloween season is in full swing. While we'd love to be able to actually play the game this year (we're trying to be patient, honest!), we'll take some new footage as a compromise.
Thankfully, the game is looking pretty good in this latest gameplay trailer, which highlights some of the game's spookier sections. Here's a breakdown of what Arkane is showing off with its 'Into the Night' trailer:
"Halloween tastes different here. What better way to get into the spirit than with a brand new trailer highlighting some of the game’s creepiest bloodsuckers. From the devious Angler to the ever-vigilant Watcher, this is just a bite of what you and your squad will face as you fight to take back Redfall."
As far as we're aware, Redfall is still set to come to Xbox Series X and S, and PC, sometime in the first half of 2023. The team isn't being any more specific than that at the moment, so we just hope it doesn't slip any further!
Are you looking forward to playing some Redfall next year? Let us know down in the comments.

This game continues to look amazing, in my opinion. Arkane knows how to make fascinating game worlds with memorable, and fun characters. Furthermore, they are great at level design, and this looks like it will be no different. I cannot wait for this game.
After playing Deathloop last month and loving the Dishonored games I'm reminded just how much i enjoy Arkane as a studio and how their gameplay is. Can't friggin' wait.
I guarantee Redfall will be the first Xbox exclusive in 2023 and come out around between Feburary-April
For some reason, this one just doesn’t do it for me yet. I’m hoping to be proven wrong when it releases.
Looks like a First-Person State of Decay with vampires. I am all about it
Between this and Starfield, I'll be busy on XSX next year.
I'm worried that both Redfall and Starfield are scheduled for the first half of 2023 and they don't have dates or even a narrower release window yet.
@J_Mo_Money Have you played Prey? It's also excellent.
@Kaloudz I really like Arkane, but I dunno. It just doesn’t feel like their usual tier of game yet. I really hope it “clicks.”
@Ninjadeath2023 Just beat it for the second time back in August. Another great game.
@Solidchief
Totally agree and looking forward to it.
But the other two Forza and Starfield that were promised by end of June 2023 will be after June 2023 and delayed until later in 2023.
So far its looking much better than Back 4 Blood, I'm curious how the open world and single player will work out though as I will mainly be playing solo.
@Kaloudz if you like vampires have you tried the games Vampyr and Vampire the masquerade?
@Kaloudz I agree. It feels like the last vampire game was… Skyrim? Lol. There was some vampire F2P BR on PS5 that I downloaded and never played. Maybe it’s time? To me, I just wonder if it was Arkane’s choice to go MP or if that was an order. Lol. They’ve never done it before, so I can’t help but be curious even if I’m not feeling excited for the game.
Edit: forgot about Vampyr
Prey failed to keep my attention. Deathloop is an overrated forgettable game with performance issues. And this…just doesn’t have me interested enough to bite yet. Since dishonored series I feel like Arkane have lost something… I don’t know if there’s been a change of leadership or if they’re just being stretched too far… but I think if they don’t nail this they’re probably no longer the big ‘get’ from the ms acquisition I was confident they’d be.
I just don’t know how redfall is going to successfully work. As a single player game you want to build up atmosphere…this requires a slow burn (setting up the scare)…this does not translate well in co op when everyone just rushes through a level.
As a multiplayer game you want characters that play drastically different and have abilities that complement one another. You also want plenty to kill so nobody feels left out …. This does not translate well to sp…playing alone with only the one ability…how well does that translate if the games built for multiple abilities working together.
And vampires attacking you in herds? No thanks…vampires aren’t supposed to be mindless. They’re cunning. And waves of enemies never cause scares.
I can see what they’re trying to do. Deliver a game with two distinct ways to play. But unless the ai and enemy encounters drastically change between sp and mp then I just can’t see how it will pull off either mode with any great success tbh
@Dr_Luigi that is my concern also, can it work single player and Co-op cause if so then they might have a real winner on their hands with this one. Certainly looks fun from the few videos shown. You do bring up the only concern tho for sure that we won’t know until we get our hands on it.
Well it's Red... Too bad it didn't come out in Fall (2022)
@Kaloudz yeah it's on xbox, came out this year but have yet to play it

@Kaloudz If you’ve never played Skyrim, clear out your schedule and immerse yourself! At this point, there’s still some things that Skyrim arguably does better than any other game, in my opinion. It’s extraordinary as a game that allows player agency, ie the player to sense the story and allow them to complete it how they choose. There’s so much to do in Skyrim too, so many storylines and quests that you can skip over the main quest and forget about it. I’d argue the main storyline is actually less interesting than a lot of the in-depth faction quests like the Thieves Guild or the DLC expansions, which were absolutely top shelf. Even all these years later, I’d still say Skyrim is essential playing, but just be aware… if you like it, you’re going to really like it and you’ll probably have a hard time focusing on the rest of life for a bit. Lol.
@Kaloudz Man, I’ll always remember when the game came out, that feeling of playing it. I went to work, came home, maybe ate, then immersed myself in Skyrim, and that was life. Lol. I don’t have the luxury to get so deep into games anymore, so I’m glad the game came out when it did. I’ve played through the game maybe six times? For me, I’m a once and done kind of guy now, but Skyrim just had so many different ways to play, and rather than get all the story at once with one character, I spaced things out. I played the game again briefly this year and it’s held up well, I’d say.
@Kaloudz Lol. Second time I’ve gotten you on a Bethesda game now!
@Kaloudz If they offered me the position, I’d take it. Closest I’ve gotten to working in the industry was summer of 2019 when I visited Nintendo of America. I went home, applied to every open position office position, told myself I’d relocate if I got an offer, even if it was lower than my salary, and that’d be that. Needless to say, I’m not working for Bethesda or NoA, as fun as that would be!
I suppose Ghostwire’s the closest we’ve got for an analog of the Evil Within right now. I’ll be honest with Ghostwire and admit I started it and trailed off from it. I was extremely hyped for it and then was sort of meh on the first 4-5 hours of it. Maybe I should head back to it. Might be the first Bethesda title I’ve played that didn’t draw me in so much… outside of, you know, Fallout 76 at launch. Hopefully we get more TEW though, regardless.
@Kaloudz Thought about it for sure, but have not yet executed it. Time constraints are my biggest hurdle with it, but thank you very much for the compliment! Really appreciate it!
@Kaloudz Will most certainly do, my friend!
i hope State of Decay 3 news coming soon
