Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now in certain parts of the world, and if you have got your hands on it, you might have already been required to update the game.
Activision and Infinity Ward have released the day-one patch - so on top of the preload, you'll also need to download this before you can play. It's around 60GB (depending on your region):
It's also been highlighted how physical copies of the game include less than 100MB on the disc - with the rest of the game requiring a download (via Push Square). Ouch!
We're still working on our full review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 — the multiplayer servers only became available yesterday — but we've already finished the campaign, and we had an absolute blast with it!

That is not an update, its the whole game needing to be downloaded digitally.
According to Eurogamer the PS5 COD disc contains less than 1gb (70mb to be precise) of data on it, Activision moved beyond the point of utter jokers.
They should be made to pay for the unnecessary carbon footprint of the physical versions even with the advantages of owning the game licence....
The game is a joke can't change gun in matches can't even access any of the settings during a match and there's no hardcore mode at launch. The campaign is crashing at the same spot over and over.
Total low key release for COD this year in the UK
I know on PlayStation Direct they had few COD special console bundles sold out now.
But in the general shops nothing at all with the PS5 special bundle like there was for FIFA 23.
I’m guessing they are saving consoles for the GOW special console bundle in early November.
Normally Xbox do a counter move with say a series s and x with the game added at a reduced price or for free like FIFA, but nothing for COD.
What a soft release for COD.
Less than 100mb on the disc? Definitely worth preserving the physical copy of that. Well worth owning
Lucky enough I already done the update last night but for the whole game to be over 100GB and no doubt there’s going to be loads more updates over the next year, This could be even worse than Modern Warfare 2019 for storage space.
Hopefully it will allow us to delete the campaign once it’s completed.
What an amazing gem this game is. Loving the campagn, and enjoying the sound in this game. This is already my favorite game, well done to the developers. This is what i wanted from call of duty.
