Hypercharge: Unboxed, much like Xbox Game Pass shooter High on Life, is beginning to gain traction with its unique take on the well-worn first person shooter path. While the latter has shown up multiple times during Gamescom week, Hypercharge is now getting in on the act, at least via Twitter (it did also get a trailer at the Future Games Show!).
The developer has confirmed that Hypercharge is on track for an early 2023 release; "Q1" to be more specific. The small development team wants to deliver the "best version" of Hypercharge they can for Xbox players.
The team also says that a playtest period is coming soon for Xbox players, ahead of the game's launch next year. We're not sure what the test will contain just yet, but you can sign up right now via the game's website.
Are you looking forward to this larger-than-life shooter hitting Xbox? Let us know what you think in the comments!

Looks like a load of fun, and I'm rooting for the five devs!
Considering my love of The Ascent visually and audibly from a team of 12 - I hope this passion project is also well received.
Interesting IP, delivered with love and without the corporate influence while delivering top notch experience and visuals - I won't think twice about giving them money for their efforts.
