Halo Infinite Forge footage continues to surface online, and in a recent compilation (highlighted by Halo trickshot specialist and YouTuber Mint Blitz), 343's head of creative, Joseph Staten has chimed in.
Not to get you too excited but he claims the "actual launch of Forge" is going to be a "game changer" for Halo Infinite. And based on the footage we've seen so far, this tool has a huge amount of potential.
Forge's lead designer at 343 responded to Joe's tweet - reinforcing how excited the team was to see what the community would do with this tool. Halo Infinite engineer Chris Howard also admitted he's been watching the leaks and is still amazed the team pulled it off.
Apart from the above video, you can see what else has been done so far (in Forge) in some of our previous coverage:

Forge is currently expected to go live at some point later this year around the time of Season 3. And Spartans can also look forward to the campaign co-op mode.

It genuinely does look amazing. The "allowance" limit for objects is pretty insane.
It all comes down to how you're going to be able to share these maps. Will I be able to play with random people? Or is it limited to your friends? Can I search for custom game modes? That's what makes or breaks Forge.
Forge looks truly amazing. But lets be honest it's a niche feature and seems like too little too late IMHO.
“ To much to little to late to try again with you”
Halo Infinite almost needs a re-launch.
Big new campaign DLC
Multiplayer, part overhaul
Massive good PR and general public engagement
So far not totally, but almost a lesson in how to duck up a legendary franchise, I’ve been with since day one.
@themightyant I think the biggest benefit Forge will give for the general player is more maps. Instead of 2 maps every 6 months we'll likely see a load of player created maps from Forge added into the multiplayer matchmaking rotation. Forge would create other benefits as well but not if there isn't a custom games browser launching alongside it and we've heard nothing about that.
@Kaloudz I definitely remember Forge competitions for MCC (Halo 2 Anniversary) and Halo 5 to create maps that would appear in matchmaking. Forge maps also appeared in Reach and 4 but don't know if they were maps created by the community.
Unfortunately forge doesn't change the game and fix the Godawful netcode and desync.
Not gonna be changing anything when players have the fight against the game to even play it.
Looks really great! The game is coming together very nicely. I know the comments will be full of negativity, but I have had nothing but a great time playing this game.
@Grumblevolcano getting the community to do their job for them taking notes from Bethesda I see lol
They're trying so hard to get ppl excited about a feature no one is excited about or not enough to move the needle of interest to the masses. People are playing BR and why HALO doesn't have one yet is either out of touch or stubborn.
