It's an exciting time for AEW at the moment, with the AEW: Fight Forever game being revealed earlier this month - coming to Xbox One, Series X and Series S - and now we've got some official, fresh gameplay to share courtesy of the THQ Nordic Showcase 2022 (we'll just pretend Xbox didn't leak it accidentally last week!).
And... yeah, it's quite something. Firstly, the gameplay itself definitely looks polished compared to the last time it was showcased, and we'd say it's giving off a mix of a 'No Mercy', 'SmackDown!' and '2K Battlegrounds' look at first glance.
We also get a quick glimpse at some weapons in action, of which there will apparently be over 40 available to use, and the most surprising bit of all is the minigames section, which even includes a dance-off and a baseball game!
We're getting a bit of a Pokémon Stadium kind of vibe with these minigames. Very intriguing!
AEW: Fight Forever still doesn't have a release date as of yet, but THQ Nordic says it's "coming soon". It'll also apparently be available to play at Gamescom 2022, so expect more gameplay footage to surface in the near future.
THQ Nordic and All Elite Wrestling have joined forces with prolific wrestling-game developers YUKE's Co. Ltd. of Japan to bring you AEW: Fight Forever! The game combines nostalgic arcade wrestling with All Elite Wrestling finishers and moves. Featuring a big roster of AEW talent, multiple match types, a robust career mode, tons of customization options, more than 40 weapons, and so much more!

I'm actually impressed. the graphics look good. the mini games look fun, I can't wait!
Yeah that trailer didn't sell me on it at all, I'll just stick with Wrestling Empire.
Can't wait for this game. It's about time we get a real wrestling video game.
@Tasuki
A real wrestling game....with baseball and dancing mini games! ☺️

This looks really fun! A wrestling game I might enjoy. After all these years of terrible ones, wow!
I would say this looks like it will exceed expectations.
I liked Britt's comment on it being easy to control, let's hope so, the WWE games just became so much less fun with their control system ruining the games completely.
