Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was revealed last month, with development being led by a couple of the folks behind Nioh and Bloodborne. Unlike those two, this one is coming to Xbox, including Game Pass on day one, and the team has jotted down a bunch of features it's building for the upcoming melee action game.
One biggie is that a free gameplay trial is in the works, which the team is hoping to release in the "near future". Here's the rest of what's been detailed for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on Xbox Game Pass:
That's a pretty extensive list, and we're certainly looking forward to seeing more on this one in the coming months. In the meantime, here's a quick developer rundown of what to expect from Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms.
Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.
Will you be giving the trial a whirl before the game hits Xbox Game Pass? Let us know!

Wait, Bloodborne? Isn't this one just from Team Ninja?
Anyways super hyped about this one! I loved Nioh! And I love the Three Kingdoms era.
i hope it turns out well for everyone, but i'm all Soulsborned out at this point lol
Bloodborne is From Software. This game is Team Ninja. Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, Stranger of Paradise...
Unless you're referring to a specific person who may have worked on Bloodborne previously, company wise Team Ninja had nothing to do with that game.
Team Ninja likes doing game trials like this leading up to launch lately. They did the same thing with Nioh 1 & 2 as well as FF:Stranger of Paradise. It's much appreciated and I especially want to try this one to see if they turn down the loot a bit compared to their previous work. That was my only real issue with Nioh. You just get showered with countless loot. I'm fine with getting loot just turn it down a bit. I don't need a new pair of useless boots every time I kill an enemy. 😄
@pip_muzz @Lup
The game is being worked on by the producers of Bloodborne (Masaaki Yamagiwa) and Nioh (Fumihiko Yasuda)
@FraserG
Thanks for the clarification! For a moment, I thought it meant a work between both Team Ninja and FromSoftware
@FraserG Super. Thanks. I was pretty sure Team Ninja didn't do Bloodborne but if it's staff linked then it makes absolute sense to link them in the article. Thanks again
If this game turns out to be as good as Nioh 2, than it is awesome Fingers crossed.
Can’t wait for this. And a big get for GamePass!
How long is the trial? If it is only 60 minutes like Path of Titans, it wouldn't be worth bothering downloading for it.
