Resident Evil Village is getting a 'Gold Edition' later this year on October 28th, about a year and a half after the game's initial launch. Third-person mode for the game's campaign is one of the big new additions, but a new Mercenaries mode trailer gives us a sneak peek at another fresh feature.
Mercenaries, the long-time RE bonus mode, is being expanded in this year's Village re-release. 'Additional Orders' will bring is some new options for players, including the ability to play as RE villains, such as the now-infamous Lady Dimitrescu.
In fact, she's in action in the brief teaser above, making use of her handy claw-hand things. Any guesses on whether she becomes the community's new favourite playable character? We'd say there's quite a good chance!
The mode will also be adding a few new stages into the mix for its Gold Edition release, so all in all, it looks like Mercenaries is getting a pretty sizeable expansion. Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition launches October 28th on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
What Resident Evil villain would you like to play as in Mercenaries mode? Let us know!

The most important thing is first-person camera in the campaign.
Has there been any mention how much the different DLC’s will cost for those who’ve already bought the game? A gold addition is fine and all, but not needed for many of us.
