Is PC starting to get more gamepass games than Xbox per month?
Think this year so far there’s been more unremarkable months than there’s been decent ones so far with gamepass. This would be another for me if it wasn’t for two point campus finally hitting this month.
edit scratch that, two point campus is next month. Yea July another real weak gamepass month for me.
Peppa Pig AND Paw Patrol?! The kiddies won today
@Bleachedsmiles Remember this is just the first half of July. They have yet to announce all the games for the second half.
Terrible additions especially considering PS+ is adding Stray, FF7 Remake, Intergrade, 7 Assassin's Creed Games plus Saints 4 and its DLC. There's other games, it's a total of 17 most of them being high quality. Game Pass has been terrible this year.
Why are games releasing later and later in the day now? 🙄
Im advised power wash simulator is very absorbing, but Im not convinced!
Im afraid this lot looks a bit like the bargain bucket in the game store and I hope they add a few more compelling titles soon. Im in both camps, so I cant moan ive no new stuff to play, but im looking to play my X more, so a few killer titles would help!
Escape Academy AND Powerwash simulator definitely. I'll wait to see reviews of Overwhelm.
This is so random, microsoft should save it money rather than getting random games like this.
Imagine how much fun you could have if you bought a real power washer.
@Chaudy Saints Row IV is 9 years old, FF7 has already been given away for free with PS Plus, minus the PS5 upgrade / Intergrade DLC, then the Assassins Creed games have been given away free before and some of them are being unsupported and made inaccessible come September, so really the only decent one is Stray.
@sikthvash Assassins Creed games have been given away free on console? I must have missed those? PS+ has some good additions, even though, I don't like them all.
Still, GP is keeping me busy enough for the time being! & 2023 will be a lot different too
@sikthvash The only AC game previously added to PS+ was Freedom Cry. Black Flag, Rogue remastered, Ezio collection and Unity have never been on the service before and none are being unsupported. Only the 360/PS3 games are losing support.
The AC games on PS+ are worthless to me. Ubisoft games are almost always on sale dirt cheap. I honestly have all the older games being added (and they are mostly pretty old). So Stray is the only worthwhile addition to me as well.
I really like that GamePass gives me new games, even if they are smaller indies. Almost every new game on GP has been well reviewed, including Escape Academy, which is the game that I am looking forward to in this batch. I like trying new gaming experiences and GP had given me that as well as big adds like Sony’s own The Show 22.
17 games mean nothing to me if they’re almost all older cheap games I already own.
Escape Academy doesn't run that great on my SS. I feel like there's some kind of input lag :/ hope it'll get addressed in a patch.
@awp69 whilst I can accept your view if you genuinely own all those titles, you will be aware that most people dont have a complete collection of all games, and so for many people there will several titles to look for. You want to tell me that paw patrol and pepa pig on xbox are somehow better than paw patrol and jumji and ice age and resdy set heros on psn and it would be clear your being disingenuous.
Yes, the ac games are often on sale at low prices, but so is 80% of the tat on gp, whats the difference? Ff7 intergrade and dlc is a fine freebie as is the marvels avengers title for those that havent tried it.
The 17 games may mean nothing to you, but most people will see them as a decent offering, certainly miles better than the list above which is really poor imo.
Instead of blindly defending the service, you should be demanding its better. MS made this model and have absolutely nailed it for ages, you should be concerned its becoming worse just at a time when they should be showing Sony how its done...
Hopefully theres more coming to make this month seem sweeter...
@Titntin Every month there is probably at least five new additions that are completely new releases and the majority of them are good. I’m not saying Peppa Pig is for me, but it is for people that have children.
I LIKE new indies. And they are NOT on sale at the time of release. So it’s saving me a ton of money. If you don’t like it, don’t subscribe.
But I’d much rather have new quality indies than old games they are regularly on sale cheap. That’s MY preference and yes, I will defend it because I like it!
I also have PS+ Premium so I want to like it too. I’m excited about Stray but nothing else. And that is an indie game on the level of Tunic - not a huge AAA release. Outside of that, there’s nothing of interest that I don’t already own. And the pathetic two games added to the Premium level is a joke. I hope it gets better for me but right now it isn’t that appealing as whole.
And you do realize that the list above is just from today, right? Not even the whole month which will also include a highly anticipated indie As Dusk Falls.
Total of six day one games this month and the second half hasn’t even been announced. Not for everyone but even Powerwash Simulator has 97% positive out of almost 20,000 reviews on Steam. Clearly not a trash game.
@awp69 Thats fair enough. Im not into playing too many indies so the value feels different to me. Had I have not bought gp ultimate for 3 years I would cancel for now, as ive played only 3 gp games all year. I just want it to offer me more games id like to play is all, and I certainly didnt expect what looks like better value elsewhere.
Yeah, the premium level of sonys offering doesnt make a lot of sense right now unless you like or want to stream your games.
@£1.66 a month its hardly a rip off, but they will need to include a lot more classics to make it look compelling. Personally im right up for loco rocco, I didnt get that one before, so at least theres something this month for me.
... and yes, im aware there should be more to come for gp this month which I hope will change the narritive, as im not into playing any of the above, but want to use the series x more 😁
Hopefully we will both get more of what we want from GP in the coming months.
Played through 2 jobs on PowerWash Simulator.
Just finished the garden level. Damn… I think I’m done with this game now. Haha.
