Well. These are indeed Games with Gold. The article is accurate.
This is just pitiful. Just stop with GwG Microsoft you are just embarrassing yourself now.
It’s that time again…
Never played Raskulls, but I'll happily take Project Highrise and Aven Colony for free. I have the former on Switch and latter on PS4, both are fun.
Regarding Super Meat Boy, I'd be surprised if anyone doesn't own it at this point.
Had a sense of Deja Vu, then I realised @FraserG posted an article about downloading them this morning well ahead of the announcement. How much for the DeLorean Fraser?
@themightyant How much you offering?
Member when they gave out Halo and Assassin's Creed games? I member.
@FraserG Another month of good Gold Games! While it may not be the most popular opinion, most of these aren't bad, but they are all niche!
To be fair it's better than GoW2018 where anybody that hasn't already owned/streamed/had a chance to play it by now almost certainly just didn't want to, so that's one example of a huge free game that's so old and so ubiquitous that nobody actually benefits from getting it.
Ooof it's somehow getting worse, just get rid of the gwg and offer free online
@NEStalgia Not as good as golds June offerings in 2016 though eh…but yeah, thank god we’re not getting a game like god of war 2018 that everybody’s already gotten already…
@NEStalgia God of war 2018 has sold 19 million copies on playstation 4, ps plus has around 48 million subscribers, so that's atleast 29 million people who haven't played God of war on ps plus and that's only considering the other 19 million ps plus subscribers have played god of war as well which is highly unlikely
Really happy with this selection.
@UltimateOtaku91 That doesn't include the many many people who have bought it used for super cheap, the people who played it on Plus Collection on PS5, and the people that played it on Now.
How many people not in any of the above lists haven't played it because they didn't have access to it at a price they were willing to pay versus those that just weren't interested in playing it, though? It's like $10 used physically anywhere....
@NEStalgia those who've played it with the ps5 collection need a playstation plus subscription so they are included in the numbers I gave earlier and playstation now had a meager 2 million subscribers and not all of them played god of war surely, but I agree that used copies were probably also bought by people who have ps plus, but I'd wager there's atleast 10 million current ps plus subscribers who haven't played it which will annoy the hell out of the other 38 million subscribers, but sony want as many as possible to play it before Ragnarok releases
@NEStalgia on the flip side super meat boy has been offered on pretty much every subscription service before…including gold!
@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah probably a good sign that Ragnorok is actually hitting this year.
Sure, but the real point, is, I'm not sure how realistic it is to think that among subscribers, the remaining group that hasn't played it hasn't played it because they wanted to play it but didn't want to pay the asking price. It's been so available for free or cheap for them for so long now, I'd think it's far more realistic to believe that those that didn't play it, just didn't want to (Obviously not every single one of them but a large enough number to make it not represent any missed sales.) New customers means PS5 customers, and since it's already subscribers we're talking about, every one of them has access to it for free already. So the relevant cross-section is basically existing PS4 owners that haven't got a PS5 that also subscribe to Plus, don't subscribe to Now, and haven't played the game at cheap sale/used prices yet, but really want to play the game. That can't possibly be a large group?
@UltimateOtaku91 As you know the reality is the amount of cross-over between PS+, PS5, PS Now and owning God of War will be large. So the number of players getting God of War that don't have it will be large.
While it's a frustrating addition for most of us here, the enthusiasts, there's no doubt it's a smart addition to the service and will likely lead to more Ragnarok sales.
