Backwards compatibility is amazing on Xbox Series X (and Xbox Series S), but interestingly, it looks like the Xbox 360 game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has a particular issue that's making people feel a little bit sick.
Basically, for some people, there's a motion blur effect when you rotate the camera that really isn't very pleasing on the eye. We've seen reports of this on multiple occasions in recent months, and here's a look at the problem in action:
We've tried to replicate this issue here at Pure Xbox, but haven't had any luck. The person above is definitely not alone though - lots of people in the comments confirmed they've had the same thing - and it makes the game unplayable.
Is there a fix? Well, lots of people have advised there are certain ways to potentially get rid of it (at least temporarily), such as turning off "Auto Low Latency" and "Variable Refresh Rate" in the Settings menu on Xbox, or simply pausing and then unpausing the game, but it seems there's not a permanent fix right now.
It also seems it's happened in some other games, but The Force Unleashed is the most documented so far.
Strange one!
Have you had any issues with The Force Unleashed on Xbox Series X|S? Tell us down below.

.....this has been a bit of a day for xbox, hasn't it?
While not nice, there are workarounds potentially and Xbox may look into it and fix it properly.
So while not brilliant, it's a bit of a storm in a teacup - there's always going to be some issues with backwards compatibility and Xbox certainly try harder (and deliver more) than the competition
I played this a few months ago on Series X and was impressed with the upscaling, didn’t notice any of that blurring, what has changed?
Also can they upscale Force Unleashed 2 while they’re at it! That felt almost unplayable by comparison and a huge downgrade
This issue was a day 1 issue when the series X released. Surprises me nobody took this seriously before.
Doesn't bother me. I guess I am not sensitive to it or something.
omg hope it will not happen to me i hate dizzyness.
This is how I feel playing Dishonored.
I've played a hell of a lot worse. Try turning point fall of liberty on a 360. That game can cause migraines
I wonder if black frame insertion would help. Makes a big difference in certain games with motion blur issues such as Alien: Isolation for example
I did experience this blur a while back with the Force Unleashed and I haven't played it since because of it. I hope they are working on a fix. I'm playing on Series X as well
I though it was me!, I'm playing Dragon Quest 11 right now and is unplayabale for me in the xbox series s, then i installed the game on Pc, and i have 0 problems, idk what Is wrong with the xbox.
In before a fanboy claims this is a storm in a tea cup.
EDIT - oh too late.
Why do some people dismiss anything but positive stories. Grow up. The Xbox has some issues. Is doesn’t damage you or your experience and some people like to know things like this. It also leads to fixes. Burying your head in the sand doesn’t make issues for away. Xbox is brilliant at responding and fixing things so as a community we must still raise these things and make gaming experiences better
@BomboFeca interesting, I don't recall having any dqxi issues a year ago. The mentioned issue here I thought was specific to 360 bc games. I wonder if the display tech or vrr and such mentioned above has anything to do with it? Ffxiii and xv are the ones with weird blur to me.
I was one of the people who had problems with this. Had to stop playing after the prologue. Hope they fix it at some point, but I'm ultimately glad that the game's available via BC for folks who aren't as sensitive to this issue.
