Hell Let Loose has definitely proved a hit on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S since its next-gen launch last year, and now it's finally getting its first proper update on Xbox (and PlayStation) in the form of "Update 1" on Tuesday, May 17th.
There's a lot of stuff included in this update, so we've added all the upcoming content in a list at the bottom of this article, but in a nutshell, we're looking at new maps, new weapons, new equipment, new vehicles, and much more.
The developer says "this update brings us one step closer to full parity with PC content," and the release "is extremely important to our ability to merge both workstreams and continue forward with development across the title."
You'll also find a statement on Reddit in regards to the timing of this update and the current conflict in Ukraine.
"The first content update for Hell Let Loose on console encompasses a bulk of new material, including — Soviet forces, maps, weapons, vehicles, and much more for you to enjoy out there on the field! We’ve even crammed in some extra content — expanding your arsenal with the M97 Trench Gun, FG42 rifle, and a host of extra maps to muddy your boots in!"

I will pass on this till Xbox users get the same deal that Sony owners got.
One of the best shooters I've played in recent years.
Absolutely cannot wait for the update.
In theory I love this game. In practice I just can’t seem to enjoy it as I’m so bad at it. A typical game is me walking/running for 30mins then dying by a breeze of the wind as far as I know as I rarely see who kills me. And repeat.
But I do really like the idea of this game. I hope they flesh it out a bit more…would be pretty awesome if let us fly planes.
They made this game too tactical. It's a glorified walking simulator.
Am I excited for this? I’m ecstatic for this update. Hell Let Loose is my most favourite game since I got the Series X.
@MoistEmphasis3 This is a MILSIM game, not your typical arcade shooter where you get to run around guns blazing unrealistically. It’s so realistic that one bullet can take you down. It’s so much rewarding too, I love playing as the anti-tank class with a satchel charge and creeping up to an enemy tank while it’s pinning my squad down and putting a 30 second timer on it as I move away to a safe distance and watch the tank get blown up, it’s so satisfying.
People saying this is a walking simulator, I get what you mean, I felt the same at first, it was a slog just getting to the action, then I learnt the basics about respawn points/nodes etc and it all fell into place, one of my fav games ever. So pumped for the update.
