We've got another free next-gen upgrade arriving soon in the form of SnowRunner, which is heading to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on May 31st, 2022. With any luck, the game will hopefully still be part of Game Pass by then.
Details are pretty limited on what to expect at the moment, but we do know that the update will allow Xbox Series X owners to play at 4K, 60fps (no word on Series S yet), and also allow for crossplay with other platforms.
SnowRunner has been part of Game Pass since May 2021, so there's every chance it might heading out of the service around the same time this upgrade drops. Let's hope not though, as this'd serve as a nice little extra in May.
SnowRunner puts you in the driver’s seat of powerful vehicles as you conquer extreme open environments with the most advanced terrain simulation ever. Drive 40 vehicles from brands such as Ford, Chevrolet, and Freightliner as you leave your mark on an untamed open world.

Incredible game, can't wait for the next gen update, it already looks awesome
Finally! Been waiting a long time for this!
I've been hugely disappointed with this game since launch because of the capped framerate. Mudrunner ran on PS4 Pro in 60fps, so the sequel stuck at 30 felt like a step back. Gotta say they took their time with the update, but I'm gonna revisit the game for sure now.
Don’t get me wrong - I love this game and have it on PS4 - but does it really need a 60fps option? Most of the time you’re driving slowly so doubt it would benefit from being 60fps. 4K will be nice though.
What I would like to have is cross save cause I bought the game on switch and I don’t want to start from the beginning on my Xbox.

I tried to play this when it became available on Game Pass about a year ago. While I agree its more tolerable than faster paced games running at 30 fps, I still couldn't play it. I tend to get a headache gaming at anything under ~50 fps, so I am looking forward to this update. I hope they also do a bit of graphical enhancements as well.
