It's a good job they didn't announce this one on April Fools' Day! 343 has revealed that Halo will be getting an official cookbook (!) later this August from Victoria Rosenthal, and it's already available for pre-order over at Amazon.
The description for the book says you will "learn to make awesome appetizers, sumptuous snacks, decadent desserts, and main dishes to fuel even the hungriest of Spartans on the longest of missions." It's said to feature step-by-step instructions along with "beautiful photography" for over 70 recipes, and is suitable for every skill level.
Victoria Rosenthal has created cookbooks for various other franchises in the past including Final Fantasy, Destiny and Fallout, and they've all received five-star ratings on Amazon. The Halo one, however, is the most expensive yet.
They say an army marches on its stomach, and the UNSC is no exception! Learn to make awesome appetizers, sumptuous snacks, decadent desserts, and main dishes to fuel even the hungriest of Spartans on the longest of missions. With step-by-step instructions and beautiful photography, this book gives you everything you need to go from Master Chief to Master Chef.

sorry but wtf is this any halo fans will see it's only a marketing book with the name halo on it such a disapointment to see that happening. ๐ข
Didn't the Witcher announce they where doing this like yesterday
Does the halo games feature any food? If not then this book makes no sense other than using the halo brand to get sales. Now a monster hunter Cook book would make more sense
BOTW cook book then we can all get as high as kites ok those mushroom recipes ๐
Going to pass on this one. I can already cook, and I donโt want to know what a grunt tastes like anyways.
I mean there is a Tomb Raider cookbook and Halo nail polish.
I think I'm gonna hold out till the Forza Horizon 5 or Geometry Wars 2 cookbooks.
Here's the recipe for Halo Infinite direct from 343:
1) Create a luscious campaign, then proceed to cut about half of it out, including any varied environments and weather. Gotta get rid of the fat.
2) Add about 8 or 10 multiplayer maps of uneven quality. Those Halo players need their roughage.
3) Make sure to prioritize including thousands of $$$ worth of Fortnite wannabe skins to further monetize the game. Leave basic features that fans have come to expect like offline local splitscreen multiplayer/co-op with Guests, the Forge, and various multiplayer modes out. Gotta train those players to consume what WE want them to!
5) Release a flagship title with roughly 30 percent of its predecessors' basic features missing. But hey, cat ears are tasty!
4) Let simmer for four months (and counting) with no significant updates, maps, modes, or other content, until the player count on the servers has sufficiently evaporated.
5) Sprinkle a few apologies onto the PR dumpster fire.
Bon appetit!
Branded cook books can be fun, and anything that encourages people to cook for themselves more and try new things is good.
Though when it comes to Halo that's a franchise I just don't see has a food "aesthetic". The pictures on the cover look to be just regular food (though delicious).
