You may or may not remember that Limited Run, "the industry-leading publisher and distributor of award winning collector's editions, rare video games, and merchandise," announced back in January that it would finally be releasing its first Xbox product later this year, and that hype has continued to build amongst fans in recent weeks.
How much more do we know since then? Barely anything to be honest, although it's been suggested the plan is to announce and hopefully release the game later this summer. But what is it? The only clear confirmation we've seen is that it won't be Psychonauts 2, despite the demand, as the company says there are no plans right now:
If we're going to use an educated guess, the game that might be in the running for the first Limited Run Xbox title is Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, which was surprisingly announced back in January 2021 to be getting a physical Xbox release "at a future date". Nothing has been said about this since then, but it seems a likely bet.
But to be honest, there are plenty of other potential options here as well. Quake is another game that got a physical release via Limited Run for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, but Xbox ended up missing out. Maybe it's a brand-new Limited Run product altogether? Fortunately we've only got a few more months until we find out for sure.
What do you think the first Limited Run Xbox game will be? Let us know down in the comments below.

I was just wondering about this! They announced that partnership a long time ago now. Psychonauts 2 would be amazing! Curious to see what it’ll end up being
I wish that it would be fatal frame!
Honestly never realised that Psychonauts 2 never had a physical release. That is both weird and worrying. I thought the plan for Xbox was choice, not a digital only future. Hopefully a blip not a trend.
Watch it be Halo or Gears with a different cover
Tunic or Death's Door would be day one buys for me. DOOM is definitely coming at some point. Really looking forward to this, my wallet is not.
@Xiovanni not only the first party, but the 3rds parties.. and the indies too.. they neglect them all!
