EA and Codemasters have officially revealed F1 2022 today, which is heading to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on July 1st, featuring the addition of the Miami Grand Prix and promising a "redefined race day experience."
You'll be able to "customise your set-up with new Immersive and Broadcast options that affect formation laps, safety car periods, and pit stops," with the Immersive option allowing you to face risk-reward challenges, whereas the Broadcast option will feature "controlled and authentic cinematics that keep players close to the action."
Other changes this year include a new Adaptive AI feature, refreshed practice programs, My Team improvements, a new customisable hub called F1 Life, and changes to accommodate the overhauled rules in real-world F1, such as the inclusion of Sprint races, hybrid cars, and updated physics.
Here's what Lee Mathers, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters, had to say about F1 2022:
"We look forward to welcoming our players to the new era of Formula 1. Alongside the real-world changes, we have updated the physics to accommodate the new aero rules and re-worked the tyre model, making the handling more true to life. With new and updated circuits, Adaptive AI, F1 Life, and expanded gameplay options, there has never been a better time for players to take their seats and live the life of an F1 driver."

Really enjoying F1 2021 on gamepass at the moment, so look forward to trying the 2022 version when it comes to gamepass as well (next January probably).
F1 life just sounds like a way to slap on cosmetics and microtransactions into the F1 game series....
As a replacement for the surprisingly good story mode from F1 2021 I think I'll wait till this one hits game pass...
Releasing in the middle of the season as always and now without regional pricing thanks to EA, no thanks, waiting for EA play it is
@Zucaritas well done EA why should regional pricing be a thing. Why should my purchase underight somebody else's. If you can't afford it on release wait till its on sale.
@Muddy wow dude, really entitled opinion there. Gotta be nice to think that 70 dollars for a game is fair in every country. Having a game cost the same in a country where the avg salary is 200usd and in a country where the avg salary is 1000usd or more it's a stupid decision. But the worst it's that there are sad persons like you that gets happy when other people can't afford things.
Not at all. Why should I pay more if I earn more? If you went to a shop for a bag of potatoes and the owner asked to see your payslip before he gave you a price would you be happy? My best mate earns more than double than me $120,000 pa which through hard work and education he has achived that. The only thing he pays more is income tax. But he pays the same for everything else. He may have better quality things than me ie I live I a 4 bedroom semi detached house, he lives in a 4 bedroom detached house. I drive a Ford he drives a BMW. He wears Lacoste I wear Superdry etc. We both cut our cloth to what we can afford. If you can't afford a game on day 1 then unfortunately you will have to wait. That's capitalism, EA are not a charity they are
a company who want to make a profit and without that they would no longer exist.
