CD Projekt Red has revealed some interesting stats regarding its two major series' in a recent earnings presentation. The Polish developer has revealed that 2020's Cyberpunk 2077 is now at 18 million copies solid, while the whole Witcher series stands at over 65 million. Impressive numbers.
The Witcher 3 itself has sold a staggering 40 million since its 2015 debut, which is probably a big reason why the team is so eager to move on to another Witcher game.
Having said that, Cyberpunk 2077's numbers are nothing to sniff at either. 18 million copies is a huge amount in as many months on the market, and its relatively solid next-gen version should help the game moving forward.
Beyond that, CDPR also says that "conceptual and research work" has already begun on some "unannounced projects", and small studio The Molasses Flood — whom CDPR acquired last year — is working on a CD Projekt IP. It's all go over at the Polish studio then.
Interestingly, Cyperpunk 2077's future is also touched on, with more support confirmed. However, the presentation only mentions one expansion, leading us to believe that the initial plan of multiple expansions may well have changed.

Be cool if there was another stat for amount of refunds
Man, I was talking to the wife about CP2077 yesterday night, and she reminded me about Keanu's special moment on stage...my hype was surreal! However, after the reports of the sorry state that the game was released, I tuned my hype down to zero and waited...until last month. Well, I'm finishing up my run with the game tonight on my XSS and I gotta say: it's not bad at all! I mean, it's nothing like the revolutionary experience CDPR promised us, but it's a cool little campaign with great voice acting. That's it. Not great, not terrible, but overall I'm happy with my time with it. What are your impressions, guys?
@OldgamerDave I really liked had a lot of fun in it it is a pretty good game.
@Clankylad Man, Panam...well, I'm an older dude (36), but I must admit: she brought me back some memories of one crazy (but tough to ignore) lady of the past. Probably the voice actress... Good ol' times.
@VisitingComet1 Same here, same here. A bit flawed, but charming, like my favorite games usually are.
@Clankylad 53? You're a classic, then! Soon I'm gonna be up there too. Keep rocking, friend!
