CrossfireX launched in a less than favourable state last month, with two mediocre campaigns and a bunch of unbalanced multiplayer modes. Well, the developer is hard at work correcting the game's MP mishaps, and major changes are afoot.
Developer Smilegate has been heads down on the game's first content update, and it's now been revealed that it'll deliver two new maps. Invasion will be added to Spectre mode, and Submarine will be the latest melee-only map.
New weapons and 'silencer parts' will also arrive with the update, although they haven't been further detailed. Finally on the content front, a new event battle pass is coming, providing a way to earn in-game currency for free.
However, bug fixes and balance changes are what CrossfireX really needs. Thankfully, there's quite a few of each arriving in the next update. Some of the most notable changes include controller sensitivity improvements, aim assist changes, Boogieman balancing, respawn location changes, and UI improvements to better suit controller navigation.
The full list of updates and changes is available on the CrossfireX website.

Too late - I cant see many people returning to this....
The damage is done, burn it with fire and let it die.
Lot of negative here. Granted I have yet to play it so there is that. But I've played some games that did turn themselves around.
Pretty ***** that a game releases with 'About 80 Major Bugs' in the first place.
I've been playing this game lots, it's really fun and has so much potential. It's rough around the edges, but I think if they support the game well it will really offer something different on console.
Yes it launched with lots of problems but they released a small patch within a few days that fixed the most glaring ones.
People are judging it on the launch reviews which were only relevant for a handful of days.
Try it out, if you don't like then fine, but everyone should stop talking poop if you haven't actually tried it for yourself.
@GuyinPA75 Rainbow Six Siege launched to a lot of negative reviews, it received lots of patches and updates and became a huge game. I'm not saying this will be as successful, but I think if they support it well enough and people actually give it a chance then it will be a very well liked game. It's really different from other console shooters.
Tagline should’ve been “Still Not Fun”
This game is just so bad in so many ways. What really ruined it for me was the total lack of any single player content outside of the lame campaigns. I mean how hard would it have been just to let me play some local multiplayer or some solo with bots and let me just pick out whatever map I want? The way they went about it feels so lame and restricted. Can't say I care anymore, these's plenty of better FPS out there. Way to mess it up dev.
