A Plague Tale: Requiem is one of our most anticipated games of 2022 here at Pure Xbox, and there's been some interesting activity surrounding the game over the past 24 hours, possibility hinting at an upcoming announcement.
Firstly, the game's achievements (on PC) leaked yesterday via Exophase, and that was followed up today with the discovery that by using the Xbox mobile app, you can actually pre-load a placeholder file (280mb) of the game on Xbox.
The other thing that's getting people flustered is that the Microsoft Store website is showing a release date of June 17th for the game, although it should be noted that the year is shown as 2021, so we're not going to read too much into this just yet. Interestingly, PowerPyx is reporting that the PlayStation Store is currently indicating a May 17th release date.
For now, don't take any of the release date information as fact, but the fact that the achievements have leaked and the game is somewhat pre-loadable on Xbox is hopefully a good sign that things are on track with this one.

This would be an awesome surprise! I expected this one much later if at all this year. Plague Tale Innocence was an awesome game and I'm very much excited for Requiem.
Looking forward to this. Really liked the first one. I thought I had to wait for August (Soul Hackers 2) for another SP game.
Whatever date it is I'm very much looking forward to it , I didn't play the first till the sequel was announced and I didn't expect to love it like I do
I still need to finish the first one, lol. Games just keep piling up!
Just please release a finished product... like old school finished....not the new standard of finished. The fire game was amazing so really looking forward to this and would prefer to not have to wait a few months for patches to actually get a finished product
First one was flawed but brilliant, if they can just improve the gameplay and keep the story, aesthetic and setting of an equal quality this could be very special.
The gameplay of the first one is rough, like Naughty-Dog-rough. The graphics, the characters and everything else are fine but I think that the sequel will be better.
Loved the first one, definitely one of my favourite games of the past few years
