Earlier this week, we highlighted how Dying Light 2 would soon be getting a major patch for Xbox with a variety of fixes (and some additions), and that patch is now available, so you can download it right now.
What's included? There's a whole bunch of stuff, from a brand-new 60fps+ mode for players on Xbox Series X with VRR supported displays, to a wide range of co-op improvements, and various upgrades to the game's AI.
Here's the full list of fixes and improvements included in this latest patch:
If you're wondering whether the Xbox Series S version of Dying Light 2 might get a 60fps mode at some point, developer Techland recently explained that the console's GPU was "holding us back" from implementing it, and so it will "require more consideration" — although it's not totally out of the question just yet. Fingers crossed on that one!
Let us know how you're getting on with the new patch down in the comments below. We want to hear your thoughts!

1 gb update. And they fixed everything they said they would. Its a massive update. took forever to download.
Have to say as much as I'm loving this game. It is a bit weak of them to not be capable of optimising the game to run at 4K 60 without VRR. Still glad to see lots of bugs being squashed on this update.
Still can't use pre order items from stash. The game is still fun though.
@VisitingComet1 I had the same problem. Just go to your manage option for the Dying Light 2 in the xbox menu (outside the game) and you'll see the game and under it you'll see Pre Order bonuses, click download and voilá, your stuff will be in your stash next time you run the game.
@jaSz Thanks for the suggestion they are downloaded and in my stash it's just when I click redeem with the x button nothing happens they don't go into my stash that I can access or My inventory. I read a reddit post where other people are having the same issue
In the long run it honestly doesn't matter I am having so much fun with the game. I recently got far cry as well and this is so much better in my opinion.
I was contemplating whether to buy DL2 on PS5 or XBSX. This update made the choice easy because I own a VRR capable TV.
Funny, I don’t necessarily like zombie games but this one is different somehow. Just started and I can already tell it’s right up my alley despite being a zombie game.
