Some great games on the list this time. Luckily, I have already finished them (The Medium) or have them in my library (Control).
Really need to get round to finishing Code Vien then
The "leak" was almost correct then: https://www.purexbox.com/news/2022/01/xbox-store-hints-at-potential-leaving-dates-for-many-game-pass-titles
Seems like it's fair to assume that most of those games will also be leaving around those dates.
Shame about Code Vein. I couldn't really get into it, and I don't think it's Souls-Lite formula is one I'd pay for, but it was more interesting to me than Souls itself in some ways, and it represented a fairly thin Japanese list that seems to be dwindling on GP, unfortunately. Hopefully they get some big Japanese additions to the service to make up for it. I half expect Arise to show up eventually, though I've already played it so it's nothing to me. Scarlett nexus is similar in design to Code Vein but a better game (totally different genre, though), IMO, though.
Well, I now know which games I need to prioritise after finishing Death’s Door. Code Vein and Control it is then.
Lot of overhyped and under-delivered games on this list.
Code Vein, The Medium, Project Winter, The Falconeer
Control was great, except I was disappointed it wasn't the next gen version on Game Pass. Luckily, I was able to get it really cheap, so no loss there.
I own Control (new-gen version) and Final Fantasy XII. I'll own and play all FF games eventually. I will try The Medium before it leaves.
Damn! I saw a leak before that had Plagues Tale, Medium and control on it so i started Plagues tale first as i wanted to play it most. Gotta get Control going next and then medium..... will be a very tight squeeze to do that before the 15th.
@LtSarge 50% correct, I wouldn't trust its more correct later on
Code Vein was one that was on my list for a long time. Nearly picked it up super cheap in sales on the PS. Finally played it through Game Pass, and like others here, I couldn't quite get into it in the end. For me nothing really beats the mechanics of the Souls games themselves. Mortal Shell suffered a similar fate.
Surprised The Medium is leaving so soon, even if it was rumoured. I have that downloaded and did fancy playing that one but I'm not sure I'll get to it in the next couple of weeks. Perhaps I'll just try out the first hour or so.
It's a shame to see The Medium leaving so soon.
And to anyone thinking of buying Control — the Game Pass version is the Xbox One version — and the save file doesn't transfer over to the X|S version of Control. But the X|S version, especially the Ultimate Edition, is absolutely worth buying regardless.

Never finished FFXII need to prioritise that. Got 80% through.
Didn't play The Falconeer either. Heard good things HLTB says 8.5 hours. Unlikely.
Really wish MS would give more warning! Dates on the Game pass screen a bare minimum. Even better a calendar tied to the "play next" feature, which is currently almost useless..
@Trmn8r The problem with The Medium is a lot of people got "tricked" into thinking it was an actual game, then got massively disappointed. I saw it for what it was, a Walking Simulator. If you play it, knowing that's all it is and what to expect, its actually a very enjoyable game.
Yet again some heavy hitters I haven’t gotten around to play and one I’m currently playing.
I’m not complaining. It is what it is. But dang it! Haha
Gonna buy FF12 physical and hope my save carries over.
If you haven't played these yet, you were never going to play them anyway, and you didn't miss out on anything. There's only so much time, and you already made your choices. You could buy the game, but let's be real, you'll just play something else, again, and it will end up being a waste of your money. Be happy with what you did play, not upset about what you didn't.
Actually, if people complained about the lack of games on Game Pass, the service would be doomed, no joke. It's the abundance what makes it appealing. Yes, some games stay 6 months but those are third-party and it's logical. They rent third-party games for 6-12 months (or longer) and replace them with more. If you really want a third-party game, buy it. If you really want to try a third-party game, you have no excuse. You can find a few hours in six months to try a game you're interested in. It's the same thing I said to myself when I missed a few games. I even missed a Game with Gold that I wanted! Tekken 2 Tag Tournament 2 that I previously had on Wii U.
noooo, i still have a lot to do in FFXII
@NEStalgia I like how Code Vein plays, but they really need to fix the 99% nonfunctioning matchmaker.
I’ll be giving The Falconeer a try then. If I have time I may look into Project Winter. I think Control would be a squeeze if you haven’t started it but I’ve seen that game get ridiculous cheap lately if anyone was wanting to get it. The Medium was a cool experience and one you can definitely play before it leaves GP.
None if them were my favorites.
