There's currently a very nice deal going on over at retailer John Lewis, with a Series S console bundled up with Rocket League and Fortnite dropping to its lowest price in the UK at £234, that's a whole £15 under the usual asking price.
As spotted by TechRadar, the deal will require you to sign up as a My John Lewis member, a quick and free process, before entering the magic code MYJL15 at checkout to nab yourself a cracking little bargain.

Yes, we know £15 isn't the biggest reduction in price but, remember, it's enough spare change to go grab a few months-worth of Xbox Game Pass, giving you access to a ton of excellent titles to dig into on your shiny new console.
Of course Rocket League and Fortnite are both free-to-play games too, but things have been sweetened in this regard as the bundle includes the Fortnite Midnight Drive Pack and Rocket League Midnight Drive Pack, giving you access to lots of bonus goodies and in-game credit.
Will you be taking advantage of this deal for the Xbox Series S? Let us know in the comments below.

Considering there's still a heavy demand for consoles it's good to see any savings at all.
Can get them even cheaper on ebay (UK), going for as low as £170
Wonder why people aren't buying the series S compared to teh X which is almost always out of stock and why there seems to be more people selling their series S online
Starting to sound desperate. Are the chips the same between X and S? Could MS recall them and use parts for selling more X's?
@Medic_Alert There are some of us though. I'm an enthusiast gamer who can't afford the Series X right now. Had to scrimp and save just to be able to get the Series S. Without it I would have been essentially locked out of this generation until about half way through (just like previous couple of gens). Helps that I dont have a 4K TV too.
@J0nny5
Same here. I do have a 4K tv and I've already had an XSX and PS5 but had to sell them (money is tight atm). However, I bought a Series S and I don't feel like I'm missing much to be honest. No game on XSX or PS5 has blown me away in terms of that next gen feeling. I can see myself holding onto my Series S for 2-3 more years until this current gen catches some fire and an upgrade will make sense. Also, I'm not willing to pay the extortionate money that scalpers want or buy the overpriced bundles that shops are offering.
It’s a great machine if you just want in. If you want clean and crisp next-gen visuals then it’s a little underwhelming compared to the PS5 and SeriesX. But there isn’t much on the SeriesX that offers that anyway.
Would it be a fair assumption that people are put off the price in terms of it being so low? £200 difference may make people think its not a next gen console (like parents it casuals) or the wrong console they are looking for and getting confused with the one S
Or could the fact its digital only be putting people off, especially those that don't really know what gamepass is (again parents and new gamers)
Those two reasons would be safe bets to why its not selling a fast as the X and why its always in stock
I'll hold out and get a Series X when I can and all these new first party games start dropping. Plenty to play on PS5 and Switch until that day comes, Great deal for those Happy to grab an S though.
Hi all, Yes the Series S is great for those entering the new generation on a budget and who are more casual gamers, where gamepass is what they prefer. But for many hardcore gamers the Series X is what they want, But I think not so much for it being a 4K beast.
Being digital is off putting to many hardcore gamers , yes many will argue the modern age is the digital age, but for myself and many we like physical games. Yes to hold in our hand our purchase is what we want. Nothing like opening that new game , getting that shrink wrap of and placing it on your shelf.
And like myself , many just can not afford a console like the Series X or PS5. The most I have paid for a console is £300.
And as I dont have a 4K TV, and probably won't have one for some time as I play most of my games on a 80 inch projection screen using my 1080P budget projector.
So what would be ideal for me is the Series S+ = A SERIES S with a disc drive. sell it for £299.00 and it well sell like hot cakes . Physical media is not going anywhere to soon, and when it does I will not be taking part in any gneration of digital only gaming. I will hang up my gaming hat , well I will just play my old stuff to be honest.
In my opinion Microsoft have the chance to clean up with a cheaper disc drive machine aimed at 1080P players, because I would jump in right away.
I bought 3 for my nephew's along with 12 months of games pass for Xmas. These are the perfect consoles for kids rooms. With MS parents controls they could have a console in their rooms but there mum was able to block them on school days and limit the hours they could play feel she was still in control from her laptop. I wish these were around when I was a little kid!
Very good price for a new system. I picked a used one up for £184 on Ebay and it’s an amazingly capable system for the price. Probably get one for my eldest birthday in July.
@UltimateOtaku91
It’s just that they’ve been able to make a lot more because of the less high end components. It did very well in the run up to Christmas (in the U.K. certainly) simply because it was in stock and easy to buy.
I have a Series X downstairs and a Series S in the bedroom and love it.
Great little machine for the price and the digital aspect doesn't bother me as I buy all my games digitally anyway, so can access them no issues across both consoles.
Bought a series x. Returned it. I don’t really have time to game. I just want to play f1, call of duty, and fifa each year. The x would just be a waste of money and I’d be mad at myself for wasting that when I’m primarily dedicated time wise to Nintendo.
I’ve always been a PlayStation gamer and currently have a PlayStation 5 and have had the previous 4 Sony consoles.
I had never owned an Xbox of any sort.
I wanted to give Xbox a try but could not justify spending £450 on a Series X, for what would be a secondary console after my PS5.
I decided a Series S would be a good entry point, it doesn’t have 4K, but the price point for access to gaming on Xbox was tempting.
Honestly, I will just say that I’m so happy with my purchase of the Series S. It’s absolutely perfect for what I need.
I have enjoyed every minute I’ve played on it. It’s given me an opportunity to try games I wouldn’t have necessarily been able to play before.
If anybody was trying to decide on getting one or not, I’ll just say I love my Series S and do not regret buying it.
@stretfordend I just wish the ssd was bigger on the s
