As fun as Halo Infinite multiplayer is, a lot of fans have been wanting 343 to improve the in-game shop experience.
The good news is 343 has been listening and starting next Tuesday, the team will begin to rollout changes for the shop. Pricing will be reduced "across the board" and packages will now offer more value. In addition to this, more individual items will be made available outside of bundles.
Here's the full rundown from 343's head of design, Jerry Hook:
We’ve been monitoring the discussions on the Shop, bundles, and pricing closely since launch. Using data and community feedback, we’re going to begin rolling out changes to how we package and price items in @Halo Infinite – and it all starts next week.
Starting Tuesday, the Shop experience will vary week-to-week. We are focused on reducing pricing across the board, providing stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside of bundles, and more.
We will be trying new things throughout the rest of the season so that we can continue to learn and improve for the future. Please keep the feedback coming during this process and I hope to see you all next week for the Cyber Showdown event!
Earlier this week, 343 detailed how it had plans for a Big Team Battle patch in the near future. You can read more about it in our previous story.

Best news ever. Sort of.
I'm not against the fact of supporting the game, from time to time, by buying a few cosmetics. But not at this price. At this price, it's just... I don't know. Wrong, I guess.
Typical modern approach… over price massively bring down to still a price that’s too high but be applauded for “listening”
Same as making bad decisions. Make truly bad decisions - wait for backlash - u turn to still not a brilliant place and get applauded.
Spin and nonsense and people fall for it.
@Stocksy The folks who defended 343's original prices are in the mud. But honestly can't blame them when it still works lol. At least they have a level of competency as far as monetization goes.
@Cherip-the-Ripper I’ve said it time and time again mate, I don’t understand why people feel the need to defend actions of a company they aren’t affiliated with and just a customer… when the U-turn comes and these days it always does… they look silly.
I'm sure it's still not going to be cheap enough for a lot of folks. Sometimes you just can't satisfy everyone but hopefully this will calm down some of the complaints.
@Stocksy I couldn't agree more bud 😂
@Stocksy Even worse for the people who bought overpriced digital cat ears. Loss of pride and money.
I can finally get those cat ears I've been dreaming about.
From £20 for a sticker on your car and a keychain on your gun to £15
Thank you 343!!!!
@Xiovanni "Maybe I'll download it later this year if enough of the issues get fixed".
There are no issues with the game itself, these are optional cosmetics you could have ignored and still enjoy the game.
@Xiovanni
What do you mean that you can't make female spartan? Only real problem you listed is BTB, and I don't lie, it is bad.
@Justifier I have only played quick matches that it's random so honestly I don't know about BTB (base to base?). If it's claiming areas I've played it normally.
@Banjo-
Big team battle. There is some matchmaking issues.
@Justifier I see. Is it like Fortnite 50 vs. 50?
@Banjo-
Not quite, it is 12 vs. 12.
@Justifier OK, thanks.
@Xiovanni old school team armor colors would be great. I've been killed because I didn't realize players were on the other team.
I also miss the post round stats from older games where you could easily scroll through all the players.
@Bobobiwan I completely agree. If like to buy something for a dollar or two, but not for $20. For that price I could buy a game like Death's Door
@Stocksy still no uturn on $70 games though....
@NEStalgia But you can buy $10 upgrades to the PS5 optimised version and pay full price again for the Windows version of the PS5 new-gen exclusives! 🤪
Glad to hear it's being revisited. Pricing is tough for businesses as you don't want them to be too expensive, but if it's too cheap you're leaving money on the table. All of these in game items are, of course, completely worthless as they could give them to everyone for no additional cost than if only some people got them. So how do you price something with no intrinsic value?
I'm also happy to see them breaking up bundles as that's one of my pet hates in games, or wider retail. It's fine to offer a saving or convenience by having a useful bundle of something. Though when you HAVE to buy a bundle to get something that's just scummy. Often the bundles are padded out with junk to justify the price.
