Elden Ring got a slight delay last year, when the game was pushed back to February 2022. Thankfully, we won't see any more delays, as FromSoftware has confirmed the game has gone gold and is ready to be distributed.
In a presentation from the Taipei Game Show 2022, FromSoftware's Yasuhiro Kitao confirmed the news. In a lengthy video going over everything Elden Ring, Kitao went on to say:
"The master version has already been submitted, and right now, the team is working on a day one patch to make sure everything in the game is just so."
So, that confirms it! Work isn't done yet though, as a day one patch is already in the pipeline to smooth things out before we can all go hands on with the game.
Elden Ring arrives on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on February 25th.
Will you be playing Elden Ring on day one? Let us know in the comments.

Looking forward to receiving my Collector's Edition. I didn't manage to bag a Premium Edition unfortunately, but still happy with the one I'll be getting. Really looking forward to playing this game, though I'm not sure I'll have finished my Horizon Forbidden West run in time to play it day one. Great time to be a gamer...
Game looks great. I found some newfound love for From's games after recently beating DSII. It will probably be a while before I got to this one though.
Developer: "We've finished the game, but it doesn't work right so we are working on a patch to make sure it works"
Me: "Wait, so the game isn't finished...."
Developer: "Yes, but we need a Day One patch"
Me: "A patch for a 'finished' game?"
I hate modern gaming, sometimes.
