EA has dropped a new trailer for Battlefield 2042, this time focusing on the mysterious Battlefield Portal component. It delivers an impressive look at the new mode and will certainly call to any fans of the series.
If you haven't heard already, the new Battlefield Portal mode will allow players to mix and match their own rules on a range of classic maps. Battlefield 1942, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3 - they're all included and feature some fan favourite locations such as Caspian Border.
The trailer lets the action do the talking, effectively showcasing how you'll be able to incorporate new tools from Battlefield 2042 - such as the grappling hook - into classic maps like Arica Harbor from Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It's probably the best trailer for the mode so far and explains it far better than any marketing buzzwords have done so up until this point
It will be interesting to see just how far the rules can be altered. The motto for Battlefield Portal is "the rules of war have changed". How much have they changed? We'll have to wait until November 19th (or November 12th for anyone utilising early access with Xbox Game Pass and EA Play) to find out.

Hopefully they add some maps from Battlefield Vietnam. Man that game was fun.
They can add all the classic maps they want. But this still isn't Battlefield.
