After being announced back in July, the long-awaited Horde Mode for DOOM Eternal is finally arriving on October 26, along with a bunch of other new updates.
As part of the appropriately named Update 6.66, Horde Mode is being added for free, and the teaser trailer above gives us a taste of what we can expect. The arcade-style mode promises relentless action and explosive gunplay in a hectic arena.
Along with this, it's also said "BATTLEMODE 2.0 with a new arena and streak-based rewards, two new Master Levels and more" will be arriving as part of the free update.
Bethesda is hosting a live stream to dive further into the new update later today at 4:30pm PT / 7:30pm ET / 11:30pm GMT. You can tune in via their YouTube or Twitch channel.

Wish they'd added the same multiplayer as doom 2016 not a fan of battlemode
@Royalblues I thought they wouldve added it by now tbh bit annoying that they're doing an update for battlemode instead of just adding a proper multiplayer mode
Freaking love this game. The reboot was a massive success
Not saying they shouldn't release this stuff, as it'll probably be pretty good for those interested in it, but I would love to not have to download the update for added things I don't want. It was already a huge download for the Series X version of Doom Eternal. Since the compression for Xbox games is pretty awful in comparison to the PS5 (just stating a fact and not trying to start anything), it'll likely be a big enough update given that it's adding a new mode.
