Square Enix has provided an official new release date for the delayed Life is Strange Remastered Collection, with the game now set to launch on February 1, 2022. It will include remasters of the first game and 'Before The Storm'.
The collection was delayed back in August "due to the ongoing challenges of the worldwide pandemic", with Square Enix explaining it wanted to "alleviate any additional pressure on the Life is Strange team".
There were concerns earlier this year that the two games hadn't received much of a visual upgrade at all, with the E3 trailer (above) receiving almost as many dislikes as likes on YouTube. It remains to be seen how the final product will fare, but at the very least we know the game itself is definitely worth experiencing if you haven't already.
Don't forget that Life is Strange: True Colors is also out now on Xbox, and it's been getting very positive reviews from a whole bunch of outlets, currently sitting on an impressive 84 Metacritic score for Xbox Series X. Additionally, the Ultimate Edition of True Colors provides (eventual) access to the Remastered Collection at no extra charge.
Will you be dipping back into Life is Strange with the Remastered Collection next year? Tell us below.

You have right to reply as I do to comment about remasters. It’s called freedom of speech.
As long as it is polite and respectful.
However some seem to agree, to many remasters.
@JohannVanDerSmut
Thank you.
I shall ask Boris Johnson tomorrow about remasters 😂.

That’s cool if you don’t like Forza and thinks it’s boring, it’s your opinion.
Just like I don’t like remasters and think they are boring as I played the game originally years ago.
For example the great Alan Wake on the Xbox 360.
@RedKnight34
It’s not so much the remaster being honest.
It’s the lack of new AAA games and the fact the developers instead of keep remastering could put all resources on new games and experiences.
I mean if you played Alan Wake as it is on the series x on a top end 4K tv which will use its own tv upscale as well as the series x up scaling it’s almost a waste of time
@JohannVanDerSmut
I think he’s got enough to do at the minute on how to run a country with:
No petrol to buy
Sky high gas prices
No turkeys at Christmas. 😂
@RedKnight34 Joined the site today I see..and already I can tell you are going to be a boring one trick pony....ironic
@StylesT
Thank you I think.
I only say what I feel an opinion.
Like that time I said they should have done a disc less series x like Sony did with PS5 and not a series s. So they could have a lower price full spec model and it would be easier on developers having just one console form factor to deal with.
I nearly got hung on here 😂
@StylesT What was your first clue the fact i said i been following the remaster troll while unregistered or the join date in my profile eyeroll
I want all Project Zero/Fatal Frame and Silent Hill remasters, thanks.
@Dezzy70 At least, you got a title, Remaster Troll. Not bad!
Who asked for this?
@Dezzy70 @RedKnight34 @JohannVanDerSmut Appreciate if we could move on before this goes any further please!
"Do not "flame" others; Blatantly argumentative posts directed at others will not be tolerated. Be civil, show respect and do not persistently argue other users."
Haven't played these 2 so may pick them up after enjoying LIS2 and true colours. I'm looking forward to the remaster of GTA 5 remastered edition
