It's usually the Microsoft Store dropping release dates early, but this time the PlayStation Store has swooped in to steal that crown. A store advertisement has confirmed a reveal for Call of Duty: Vanguard is arriving on August 19 at 10:30am PT / 1:30pm EST / 18:30pm BST and will be taking place as an event within Call of Duty: Warzone.
The news was first spotted by CharlieIntel (thanks, Push Square), which shows an in-store advertisement surrounding the event. We've booted up our own PlayStation 5 to confirm the tab is definitely there (traitors, we know).
Rumours of the title have been bubbling for months. Just last week a ton of images and details about the upcoming game surfaced with an alleged August 19 date for the reveal, which has now been confirmed to be true. Activision has said the game is being built for next-gen, so hopefully we get a taste of what that may look like later this week.

The sooner COD releases the sooner Halo does =)
I’ve never been so excited to not watch a reveal trailer.
@Originut Damm I actually liked ww2 and bf5, aside from mw(2019) the only games in their repective franchises where I've played their mp mode. I prefer the zombies mode in ww2 as well opposed to bo3's zombies. (Only other one I've played)
I heavily agree with the momentum part though, after the dead space announcement and a few other things around that time EA has seemed to have gotten some goodwill back, also with (most of) the bad news already out of the way it seems lile they can now only hype up the fanbase more (see the recently released short film).
I haven't played a Call of Duty in years, but usually Activision is slapping us all in the face with their CoD piece come spring/early summer. The fact that they've been this quiet for this long is kind of interesting. It's almost as if they didn't have confidence in their franchise for the first time in over a decade.
