I thought they were going to announce the game pass games for the second half of June?
@Chaudy Didn't happen 🤷
Sense it wasexplained exactly what this was. It wasn't bad but anyone going in figuring it was more of the first show would have been disappointed
Gave it a B because it was basically as expected if not dull at times with a couple nice moments.
Solid A from my side. Loved the deep dives. I really want Psychonauts 2 to be an exclusive now. That walkthrough was so good.
I really hope they follow the same exact format next year no matter how much Digitalfoundry complains about it.
@Senua what do you mean by exclusive? Isn't it already?
I’m really glad they made a separate showcase for the interviews etc
It really helps to make the main show a blast and have these deep dive moments.
Also Parris is great host. I can always watch his content.
@Cherip-the-Ripper No the publishing deal was already made for all last gen consoles before Double Fine was acquired. But the next-gen version is Series X|S exclusive.
@Senua oh, I had no idea the game was to be released on the playstation platform as well, thanks.
Psychonauts 2 was partially funded in kickstarter, it would be a very controversial move to make it exclusive to Xbox.
C for me. Essentially, just replayed the same trailers with a developer commentary in the background. Would've liked to have seen some new gameplay breakdowns, and a couple surprises.
@Magabro They've done it before with Sony exclusives that started multi-platform on Kickstarter... But Microsoft honors the deals made before their purchase.
Yeah, it was okay, nothing special. Gave it a B.
Was a C from me.
Appreciated the more in depth look at Psychonauts 2 and Hades, but everything else was just reshowing trailers we've already seen in the main show.
No Game Pass announcements for the second half of the month either, which was a let down.
They set expectations appropriately. That Hellblade “trailer” was actually more than I thought we would get on that. Nothing really exciting, but again, I wasn’t expecting any more than what we got. B from me, but More like a B-/C+ border grade.
Parris was a great host and xbox ambassador. I love the deeper dives, but would have liked a surprise or 2.wish psychonauts was exclusive. Pre-ordered it and scarlet nexus.
I really like this one E3 presentation of announcements and trailers, and a second one for deeper look and developer talk.
Keeps the main presentation at a decent pace and gives us a l deeper look at the games.
@Senua Completely agree with you and Greg Miller. Format was great. E3 is not the time for wasting time with too many talking heads. Back to back trailers were great.
But devs, and fans, deserve the deep dives and developer interviews too to really flesh out some details and sell a game and ideas with words.
This 1-2 format was perfect. Keep it (and Parris)
On the show itself it was a B or a B-
I loved the format between the two (see above post) but felt the new content in this was a little lacking. I'm not sure how much I learned that I didn't already know.
The Forza Horizon 5 interview was almost word for word verbatim what he said to Digital Foundry a few days ago (well media trained!)
But I liked it overall, just could have done with a couple of juicy details or concentrate on some of the other games coming to xbox game pass that weren't in the main showcase. (there's loads to choose from!)
Design Lab came back in time to order an engraved controller for my wife for our 10th wedding anniversary, so A.
