Microsoft has officially announced all four Xbox Games With Gold titles for June 2021! These games are available to download for free for Xbox Live Gold members (including subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate).
Here's the complete list of titles you can look forward to in June:
Xbox Series X / Xbox One
The King's Bird (June 1 - 30):
Escape into a world kept secret by a tyrant, and discover the truth about your freedom. The King’s Bird is an artistic, momentum-based game that seamlessly combines precision-platforming with physics-based gliding.
Shadows: Awakening (June 16 - July 15)
Shadows: Awakening is a unique, isometric single-player RPG with real-time tactical combat. You take control of a demon summoned from the Shadow Realm – the Devourer – to consume the souls of long-dead heroes and embark on an epic adventure with challenging gameplay, a gripping storyline and enchanting graphics.
Xbox 360 / Original Xbox
NeoGeo Battle Coliseum (June 1 - 15):
NeoGeo Special Cast unleashes this tag-team versus fighter. In addition to original heroes and heroines, it features a host of unique characters that transcend time; armed with weapons and robots warriors from both old and new titles of the once dominant NeoGeo platform have been amassed under one roof.
Injustice: Gods Among Us (June 16 - 30):
What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat? Injustice: Gods Among Us introduces a bold new franchise to the fighting game genre from NetherRealm Studios, creators of Mortal Kombat. Featuring DC Comics icons such as Batman, The Joker, Green Lantern, The Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman, the latest title from the award-winning studio presents a deep original story.

Very happy.
Thank you XBOX.
No freaking way!!! I just played Injustice 2 and loved it so I'm uber pumped for the first one to be in GwG!!!! Absolutely an amazing story in the campaign
The King's Bird reminds me a lot of Super Meat Boy, so I might just have to check it out.
I wish it was the Xbox One version of Injustice, but no biggie
@Krzzystuff. I’ve literally been holding off buying this in the sales. Thank god my strong will finally paid off.
@Jmjfrank There wasn't an Xbox One Version - Sony bought next gen exclusivity.
This is NOT a good month for me at all and PS+'s isn't any better as I can play Star Wars on Game Pass and the rest has no appeal. For fans of fighting games, its a decent month I guess...
Injustice is great. It was randomly free at one point last year so I have it already, but it's cool for people that don't.
I'm a button masher as I can never remember combos, so the fighting games are probably beyond me. However, I do like the sound of both The Kings Bird and Shadow Awakening, though I am unsure of their quality...
@BAMozzy oh I didn't know that, thank you! I had it on PS4 (which I've since sold) and just assumed it was multi platform
Meh. Game Pass tho <3
Not bad, I have almost purchased Shadows: Awakening a couple of times.
I only own one game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, which to be fair I picked up digitally when it was free a while back.
@uptownsoul I have every PS5 PS+ game released to date. Bugsnax is marginally interesting for about an hour, the rest are shovelware. I did enjoy Maneater but I don't think that really counts.
Still, GWG has been super disappointing so far this year.
Ouch bad month for me. I already own neogeo battle coliseum and injustice. Good for fighting game fans though.
@swedetrap I tried to love Bugsnax, I really did. I wanted to. The idea, the design, the concept, and the presentation are so delightfully weird. But when push came to shove, I couldn't get myself to suffer through the completely uninteresting gameplay and traversal for much longer than doing stuff around the villiage. I spent every minute loving the weirdness, and then thinking "wow, I could be doing something not tedious and boring with this time instead...."
Not a great line up. But better then some previous months line-ups
