Outriders had a bit of a rocky launch with multiple server issues in its opening weekend. Things seem to have settled down a bit now, but many are still reporting odd bugs and game crashes. Developer People Can Fly is working around the clock to get these problems sorted, and as a gesture of good will, will be offering a free "Appreciation Package" for anyone who played the game between March 31 and April 11.
Anyone outside of that window who suffered from the inventory bug wipe will also be eligible to receive the goodies. According to the subreddit post from the developers, the Appreciation Package will consist of the following items:
- A level appropriate Legendary Weapon
- A level appropriate amount of Titanium
- The emote "Frustration", which is otherwise unobtainable at this moment in time.
As stated by the developers, these details are subject to change, but it's a welcome gesture nevertheless. It's understandable the game garnered server issues in its first few days, as it released day one on Xbox Game Pass, but it's looking as if things are stabilising now. We really loved the game, so we're excited to see where it goes.
Happy with the Appreciation Package for Outriders? Let us know in the comments below.

Nice. I like it when companies do this even though they don't have too.
I agree with the two above me. Games are difficult to make and companies are doing everything they can to make them good and quick. Bad things happen and we as consumers need to realize that. I am happy with whatever they gave us for free, even if its just an apology and recognition of a problem and a plan to fix said problems.
LMAO at the Emote!!
Good job I am Max Level now - just need to raise my World and Expedition Tiers... I have 6 or 7 Legendaries so far, and hope I get something I haven't yet got - although I have 'dismantled' any yet for the Mods...
Its good that the team are giving something to all those players who have been affected during the launch window. Whilst they aren't the first, won't be the last to have issues at launch, you don't expect to buy a game you can't play either and its not as if they haven't had a demo to iron out the kinks - they certainly improved performance.
I think publishers should be accountable for games not meeting a certain standard and either refund people or offer 'something' to those affected. I say Publisher because its their responsibility to ensure the product they are Publishing is fit to be published. More often than not, they are the ones pressuring Devs, forcing them to release 'broken' games instead of giving devs time and support - with the mentality that the Devs can patch it after but they can start selling the game and get the money coming in.
I don't know of any other product that can be sold with so many issues and 'Launch' is when the Product is at its most expensive too.
As I said, in fairness to People can Fly, they have improved the game since the Demo and I don't recall so many server issues - but its being fixed 'quickly' and they are giving 'something' to those affected. The game isn't 'broken' as such - not like Cyberpunk!!
