We're only a few months away from NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... and anticipation is running high. Square Enix knows this and has dropped a new ten-minute look at the game with an emphasis on combat and exploration.

The gameplay, which is focused on the Barren Temple section of the game, culminates in an epic boss fight, showcasing the fast-paced combat that many fans were introduced to in NieR:Automata. While NieR Replicant is a remake of an older entry, it's borrowing many elements from NieR:Automata that fans fell in love with, such as the combat.

The YouTube description for the gameplay reads:

"After being hidden by a sandstorm, the entrance to the Barren Temple has finally been revealed. Follow the Young Protagonist, who must navigate ancient puzzles, defeat Shades, and confront mysterious, sentient cubes in this extended gameplay look."

NieR Replicant launches on Xbox One on April 23, although it is worth mentioning that NieR:Automata is currently available on Xbox Game Pass and is one of the best titles available on the service. Definitely worth checking out over these quiet few months.
