It Takes Two launches for Xbox One on March 26, and a one hour free trial will reportedly be available - hopefully at launch - for those who are still on the fence about picking it up.
According to an interview at Polygon with the game's director, Josef Fares, it was mentioned that the game will feature a way to play the first hour for free. This is on top of the Friend Pass that will be available - a way to download the game for free and join a friend who has purchased it - which proved popular in A Way Out.
Fares added that he hopes it will show players "how good it feels to play the game". Polygon also mentions how Fares is confident the bigger budget will be visible on the final product when it launches. There's no indication of when the hour trial will be available, whether it will be before or after launch, but we're sure we'll find out soon enough.
Outside of talking about It Takes Two, Fares also had a new take on Xbox Game Pass, stating how he's not sure about the model and if it affects the way developers make games, then the industry has a problem.

So this comes out the same day as Balan wonderland, monster hunter rise and story of seasons pioneer town? Damn my wallet is going to bleed (again) next month
Isn’t this from the same guy who says gamepass is not effective and will cost Microsoft money?
I’m intrigued! Looks well designed (graphics, humor, flow etc) and all… I grew up w/ Halo CE co-op (well, I did play NES in my youth etc, but I was way more into computers back then… let’s say I grew up w/ Xbox a little later; as a console player) and I’m OK with co-op being a different beast now; this might suit me, where I am now … perhaps even the younglings could pick this up. My GF only likes 2D Metroid and 3D Zelda, but perhaps the relationship drama caters to her. Will keep my eyes peeled.
Ah, this knob who isn't able (or unwilling) to understand the naming convention on a console in his own industry, and still ignorant of digital subscription services for games, despite again, being in the industry, and having a game available on EA Play.
Game looks good, despite its limiting niche, but the involvement of Fares doesn't do it any favours...
I'm looking forward to this game, but honestly, when it comes to Game Pass because... Game Pass.
