Microsoft announced during today's Xbox Games Showcase that Tetris Effect: Connected will be coming to Xbox Series X on day one of the console's launch, along with Xbox One and PC (and Xbox Game Pass).
The game takes the first Tetris Effect - a unique reimagining of the original game - and adds all-new co-op and competitive online and local multiplayer modes, including a Connected mode where up to three players can literally connect their Tetris playfields together and play as one.
The Xbox Series X and PC versions of the game will feature "higher resolutions and framerates than ever possible before," and the console editions will also be Smart Delivery compatible.
Excited to get your hands on Tetris Effect: Connected later this year? Let us know in the comments.

Fantastic game, you guys are in for a treat!
Brilliant game, mesmerising mix of gameplay, sound And visuals. Pure synesthesia. Enjoy!
Cool. I’ll sell my PS4 disc and play this instead.
This was one of the 🙄 moments from the show for me, unfortunately.
I've always wanted to have a Tetris game on Xbox, thanks!
Just when you thought, they couldn't make a great game, greater. They go off and do something like this and prove me wrong.
Nice, Xbox finally gets a good Tetris game!
I was low-key upset that this game had skipped Xbox. Not anymore! 😄
