On 23rd July, Microsoft will be hosting its highly anticipated Xbox Games Showcase. It promises to reveal the first gameplay footage of Halo Inifinite's campaign and various other first-party titles.
Before the main event, though, is a special Summer Games YouTube pre-show - hosted by The Game Awards creator, Geoff Keighley. Earlier today, he took to Twitter to remind everyone to tune in, and told Xbox fans to expect additional world premieres:
GM of Xbox Games Marketing, Aaron Greenberg, added to this - mentioning how there'll be "some exciting reveals" during this segment:
Trust me you don’t want to miss this pre-show. We have been working with @geoffkeighley and our partners on some exciting reveals!
In a tweet yesterday, Greenberg also noted how the Xbox Games Showcase would have one focus: games. He said there would be "no business, devices or similar news" just games - and the show itself will run for about one hour.
And of course, don't forget that we'll be covering the entire event - including the pre-show - in a live blog here at Pure Xbox next Thursday. You'll be able to hang out in the chatroom with the rest of the pX community while watching the show! We'll provide more details on our coverage of this next week.
Will you be tuning into the pre-show to see these additional world premieres? How about the main event? Tell us below.

Will be watching both. Hope Microsoft really comes out swinging and delivers with some games.
Time to see some real next gen gameplay in glorious 4k60fps.
I wonder if those in the pre-show will be third-party, considering the main show is meant to be first party? Could be interesting to tune into that pre-show as well, just in case there's news of a certain Saga made of bricks appearing.
Can't wait for july 23rd...
Phantasy Star Online 2 available in the uk without jumping through hoops or GTFO.
Because it's 100% games, then the mystery about Gold will have to wait until August, when they might reveal console price, online plans and Series S if it's a real console.
Anyway, the hype is huge. I hope to be able to join PureXbox live and share my thoughts and also read yours. We'll see more of games we know but there will be new games as well!
Im going out on a limb and predicting Battletoads is surprise dropped as available now during the show. We haven't seen that one in forever.
I want Banjo-Kazooie.
I want Fable & Perfect Dark.
Unfortunately, I have to work that day & avoid spoilers on my phone until I can watch it later after work.
I also want Fable, Perfect Dark and Viva Piñata!
@BlueOcean I feel that announcing changes to Gold may be in a similar category to announcing games for Game Pass and Game Pass reveals would almost certainly be present.
@Grumblevolcano On second thoughts, it makes more sense to talk about online plans and subscriptions when they announce Series X price.
Greenberg said that there would be "no business, devices or similar news" just games - and the show itself will run for about one hour.
I won't be missing it!
I’ll have to check it out and hopefully I’ll see something that will get me excited for something unexpected, at the moment the only thing I’m looking forward to is THPS
If there's no Nintendo Direct on the 20th thru 22nd, this will be a hopefully excellent replacement. I'll still watch this either way tho.
