Square Enix has announced that it will be debuting several new titles around July to August.
The company reportedly mentioned this in a stockholders meeting on June 24, explaining that it had intended to announce new games at E3 2020, but will now be revealing them individually (thanks No Investment, No Life, Gematsu):
"We would normally announce new games at E3, yes. We had planned to have a press conference as a replacement event, but were unable to do so since assets were not complete. We’ll be announcing new titles individually as the timing permits. Several will debut around July to August."
Square Enix hasn't provided any guesses as to what these titles might be, but it won't be long until we find out!
What are you hoping to see from Square Enix in July and August? Let us know in the comments.

I really hope they will announce a new Tomb Raider. I know Crystal Dynamics is working hard on Avengers right now with help from Eidos Montreal, but I hope a new Tomb Raider game is Eidos Montreal main project. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is such a good game.
A new Tomb Raider! Wouldn't mind if it's still a good ways away so that they can take full advantage of next gen hardware. I know they say that "optimized" means they are taking full advantage, but I really feel they are slightly held back due to xbox one versions.
I don't think it will happen for a while, but I'd love another Deus Ex.
Would be nice if they took tomb raider off crystal and gave it to someone who knows what they are doing
Deus Ex & Tomb Raider would be nice.
a new Tomb Raider would be great, but confirming that Xbox is getting Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be enough for me. As much as i want to play that game, i refuse to buy a ps4 for one game.
as an aside one thing i would LOVE to see end or at least become super rare is the 3rd party exclusive. imagine having to buy a second or third pc to play every game you want, or buy a 2nd or third tv to watch every show you want. this is an almost uniquely console gaming issue, and it needs to end.
Something new in the Nier universe please!!!
A new Tomb Raider would have me buying a new Xbox..
Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to Series X, no doubt about it, but a new Tomb Raider game... I know that the script of Tomb Raider 2013, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider is not the best but as games they are light years ahead of the Uncharted games in my opinion. I really enjoyed the gameplay and the graphics and even the camera is so polished.
@BlueOcean i need them to say it on stage in front of cameras. They've been hinting that it might not, or that they haven't decided.
i missed out on Persona 5 (good job, Atlus), and had to play Dragon Quest 11 on my Switch (great game but the Switch is basically a cell phone, so blurry), so i need Square to say in no uncertain terms that we're getting it.
@armondo36 Yeah, of course. Last thing I heard is that Final Fantasy VII Remake is a one-year exclusivity deal with Sony but I agree that a Series X version has to be announced formally.
I really would love Dragon Quest XI to come to Series X. I know it's available on Switch, PS4 and PC and I have the three of them but I don't play on PC (old laptop), Switch is for exclusives only and my launch PS4 might die anytime considering the level of noise it makes so I'm still waiting for an Xbox version.
I wouldn't rule Atlus supporting Xbox out, who knows, a Windows and Xbox version of Persona 5 Royal Edition may be in the cards...
sigh, like i said, DQ 11 is great on Switch (because oh gawd, the MUSIC on the PS4 version shudder), but it's blurry as hell, and coming from playing in 4k to that can be jarring. it's better than nothing tho.
The time is right for Dragon Quest to come to Xbox. Add an exclusive green slime enemy and call it mucus. 😂
