Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time developer Toys for Bob has confirmed the game will have no microtransactions.
The developer took to Twitter earlier today to address fan concerns, related to a listing on the Microsoft Store which says the game "offers in-app purchases." Fortunately, there's nothing to worry about:
In case you missed its reveal last week, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is coming to Xbox One on October 9, complete with a fresh new art style, lots of new gameplay mechanics and seemingly over 100 levels!

That's a relief
That's well and good. But they said the same thing when Nitro Fueled was released then a while after launch, an update comes with the microtransactions
As terrible as Activision is, I honestly didn't think this game would feature microtransactions.
I dont mind as long as it doesn't affect story progression.. If it's a few skins that you can throw on Crash while playing a level i don't think it's a big deal..
@Pichuka97
Exactly. Hopefully they aren’t added after launch & after reviews are out.
Activi$ion is notorious for their sleeze, but I’m not even sure micro transactions would work in a game like Crash. Let’s see if they stick to their word.
@KelticDevil they don't have to work. That's part of the problem, people pay money on these things regardless of how sleasy it is.
They could literally put in mt that makes crash jump a little bit further and someone would buy it.
But yes, hopefully they won't add them later on. They are the worst thing to happen to gaming since EA.
@SuperNintendoMii
True. Good point. I guess if Ubisoft can add in a XP boost thing in single player Assassin’s Creed games, I am sure Activi$ion can figure out a way to milk a Crash game for all it’s worth.
It's a sad sign of the times when this kind of thing has to be confirmed and we still know better...
