Update: (Thu 2nd Apr, 2020 15:20 BST): The official Sea of Thieves Twitter account has just released an official post about this, but no release date has been revealed yet.
Original Story: (Thu 2nd Apr, 2020 15:15 BST): It looks like Microsoft is adding another Xbox Game Studios title to the Steam PC platform. Steam has previously added the likes of Gears 5 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and now, eagle-eyed users (thanks VG247) have spotted Sea of Thieves on the service as well.

At the time of writing, there's been no official announcement of Sea of Thieves heading to Steam from Microsoft, but we're expecting to hear something in the near future. There's also no release date yet, with the Steam page simply suggesting it's "coming soon". That said, if you want to play the game on PC straight away, you can still currently do so via the Xbox Game Pass for PC service.

To be expected at this point, Steam is the definitive place to get PC games and Microsoft has been taking PC gaming very seriously these past few years.
Good idea to put this game on Steam. And if there is cross play, it could combine the fans of the game to keep traffic up.
