BioWare is hiring for the "next major title" in one of its "most prestigious franchises" according to a March 16th job listing over at EA's careers website. This was first reported by SegmentNext, which suggests the title could potentially be another entry in the Mass Effect franchise.
The listing is for a Technical Director, and is described as follows:
"You will be the most senior engineering lead on the next major title in one of BioWare’s most prestigious franchises, and a contributing leader to BioWare studio strategy. You will partner with the other disciplines to build the technology and the programming team to deliver amazing player experiences."
As for the Mass Effect rumour, Project Director at BioWare Michael Gamble notably asked fans where they wanted Mass Effect "to go in the future" back in November, and rumours about a potential Mass Effect Trilogy have been doing the rounds for some time now.
Then again, the listing could easily refer to Dragon Age 4, which we know is on the way sometime after 2021, or potentially - just potentially - we could be getting that long-awaited remaster of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. We can dream, right?
What prestigious franchise do you think BioWare is referring to? Let us know in the comments.

I hope for Mass Effect. I give them one more time to get things right.
@Justifier I'm done giving them chances. They F'ed up Mass Effect, Anthem, there's no way they -
Hmmm … then again, Capcom went Crapcom and then CapGod, so … who knows? Anything's possible.
I would be so excited if it was Jade Empire but they said franchise.
@Tasuki
We actually agree! 😉
But yea it would be nice if this was a new Jade Empire game. Star Wars is kind of a mess these days. And I LOVED the Mass Effect trilogy, but the stink of Andromeda.....
Why not give Jade Empire another chance? If I am Microsoft, I open up that big checkbook they have, contact EA, & get an new exclusive Jade Empire game on XSX. It was such a unique setting at the time. And it’s been gone so long that it almost be like a new IP at this point.
Although, I wouldn’t object to a remaster of the original KOTOR. That is still my favorite RPG of all time.
