Every single time we post a story about games being added to the backward compatibility list, we get a slew of Facebook comments all shouting "DUH BLACK OPS WHEN?"
Folks are clamouring for the shooter (and every other Call of Duty game, because apparently they're the only games that exist) to be added to the back-compat service, and Microsoft's own Major Nelson gets inundated with the same requests, even when he isn't talking about backward compatible stuff.
Still, the good Major has had to put out a fire today, as somebody at Microsoft decided it'd be a grand idea to send out an email to subscribers that states that BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Skate 3, and Halo Wars are all "now available" with backwards compatibility. If you got an email with the image above in it, you can disregard it.
On Reddit, the Major said:-
"This is inaccurate. I got the same email and tracking down why this was sent. Sorry about that."
So, you'll have to wait a bit longer.
However, there's good news for Xbox Preview Program members, as Halo Wars will be backward compatible for them at some point today, it has been confirmed. As for the other titles in the email...well, they could turn up at any time.

I bet this was sent a bit too early but likely to be the next wave. The fact its come from internally, I think its most likely to be fact BUT not 'quite ready' to be revealed. Interesting that the BioShock trilogy are likely to be BC after the leaked trilogy bundle. I have all 3 on XB360 but would still consider the bundle IF it is remastered - Rapture looked great on 360 - and comes with all DLC...
The inclusion of Halo Wars makes me wonder if that is due for GwG with Halo Wars 2 due out this year...
Excellent. Will they leak Skyrim next? Pretty please?
Probably just a matter of time when these games reach backwards compatibility. Which will be great, but I want me some fighting games. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Ultra Steet Fighter IV are the main ones I want.
Yea these will happen eventually. Just a matter of time.
