In case you are wondering whether your current Xbox Live Gold membership can be transferred from your Xbox 360 to the new Xbox One, you can now breathe a sigh of relief because yes, it will.
Speaking with the folks at Polygon, Microsoft confirmed that Xbox One owners won't have to cough up the cash for a second Gold account. In fact, your membership will apply to both consoles when signing in to your profile.
Ben Kilgore from Microsoft said that multiple users sharing the same console can operate under one Gold membership and that each user will still have their dedicated friends and personalized options.
While a ubiquitous membership across both platforms is a no-brainer, there are still a few unanswered questions that we hope are given answers to leading up to E3. Will the yearly price continue to be the same? And what about the users rocking a silver membership? Will the Xbox One allow them to at least use Netflix and their social media accounts without purchasing a gold account as it still stands today?
Let us know below in the comments on your views on that.
