Well, Gamescom might be done and dusted for another year, but we've still got a whole bunch of publisher-focused livestreams and major showcases on the way in the near future, particularly over the next few days!
With that in mind, we've picked out a handful of events you might want to keep an eye on, including the likes of Ubisoft Forward, the ID@Xbox showcase and of course, the Tokyo Game Show 2022! Lots to look forward to...
Disney And Marvel Games Showcase (September 9)
We're kicking things off today with the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase as part of D23! This event will feature all-new announcements, as well as updates on the likes of Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel's Midnight Suns and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
The event takes place today (September 9th) at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST.
Ubisoft Forward (September 10)
Ubisoft Forward is back this Saturday with what looks to be a stacked show, particularly if you're a fan of Assassin's Creed! We'll be getting a look at the future of that series', which will seemingly incorporate multiple upcoming titles, and there'll also be updates on Skull & Bones and various other Ubisoft titles.
The pre-show kicks off on Saturday, September 10th at 11:35am PT / 2:35pm ET / 7:35pm BST.
ID@Xbox Fall Showcase (September 14)
The latest edition of the ID@Xbox Showcase arrives next week on September 14th, promising updates for the likes of Metal: Hellsinger, You Suck At Parking and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, along with a bunch of Game Pass reveals.
It'll be 90 minutes long, and it begins at 9:30am PT / 12:30pm ET / 5:30pm BST on September 14th.
RGG Summit 2022 (September 14)
Ahead of the Tokyo Game Show 2022, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will be hosting the RGG Summit 2022 on September 14th, which will give us a look at a "new release presentation" - most likely set to be the next entry in the Yakuza series.
It's another event happening on September 14th, set to begin at 3am PT / 8am ET / 11am BST.
Xbox At Tokyo Game Show 2022 (September 15)
Xbox will return to the Tokyo Game Show once again this year, with a show that will focus on updates on existing Xbox Game Studios titles and "titles launching from developer partners". We're hoping for more Game Pass reveals, too!
The show takes place on September 15th at 2am PT / 7am ET / 10am BST.
These aren't the only showcases taking place over the next few days (the Tokyo Game Show is packed with events in particular), but they're a handpicked few that we're particularly looking forward to!
You'll be able to watch the majority of these right here at Pure Xbox, and we'll also be covering all the major announcements to come out of each event, so rest assured you won't miss any big reveals over the next few days.
Will you be watching any of these events? What are you hoping to see? Let us know down below.

E3 part 2 lets go! lol
I'm mostly curious what comes out of the RGG and Tokyo Games Show showcases. Cant wait to see which other Japanese games are coming to xbox now
The iD and Tokyo one will probably be the most relevant in terms of game pass
@Lavalera completely agree. Can't wait to get some more Japanese goodness on my Xbox, even if it doesn't come to GP!
@Chaudy I've been waiting for Deathloop to come to Xbox Game Pass but now it's coming to PS++ i'm less bothered. Especially as it uses the Dual Sense well. IF it comes to GP as expected then it will be interesting to see if they make any changes/improvements for the Xbox version.
whatever happened to the Goldeneye release this site kept pushing over the summer?
@Ashadelo There have been plenty of signs that it definitely exists (the achievements even appeared on the official Xbox website at one point), but for whatever reason it hasn't been released yet.
Here's the most recent report about it:
https://www.purexbox.com/news/2022/07/release-of-goldeneye-007-for-xbox-reportedly-still-in-limbo
The Starfield redemption tour should kick off soon.
Goldeneye or Bust!!!
We all know the answer to this
Deathloop! Gamepass! Fingers crossed.
Its the 10th Anniversary of Forza Horizon next month and we’ve heard squat from Playground or Microsoft. It would be nice for them to do something. At the top of my wishlist is the map from FH1 brought out as DLC for FH5 with the cast of 1 brought back as NPC’s but I’d settle for the first 3 games on Gamepass.
@Ashadelo @FraserG
Hmmmm I wonder what could have happened in current events that could have had any impact on a game that features Russia being the bad guys in a game, that features a secret service type agency shooting these Russian bad guys with a Golden Gun...???
Yeah, that game sadly wontr be any time soon... Xbox knows they arent going to really make much money off Golden Eye. It is just some content(which Xbox has known it's needed all year), and that to a small fan base will be hyped for sure but it wont sell more than 2 million even.
Xbox and Microsoft wont get involved in any way with PR like that. They have an acquisition to get approved haha.
Golden Eye wont come out until the war is over, the anniversary passed already so I dont see much hope it comes out this year sadly
My wish list item would be The Last Night, the game director posted recently on Twitter about showing someone the game and how blown away they were by the lighting. I think that game is close to release and I’m excited to see more about it.
As silly as it sounds to buy a console based on a promise/game, it was part of the reason why I bought an Xbox sad that reveal trailer is still incredible.
No update on Marvel's Avengers?
Really hoping they turn it around and get online much better and more fun.
@BBB Been saying this for years. Developers should follow the 6 month rule and all be soooooo much better.
Probably find out what other studio they have purchased because they can't make a first party game worth even wanting to play, let alone build a hype train for. Hate in 3...2...1... GO.
