Topic: Zoo Tycoon

Picked up Zoo Tycoon a couple of weeks back thanks to a sweet cheap deal that I found, and I hadn't gotten around to playing it. I played it at launch for about 30 minutes and it was fun, but last night I ended up putting in a good three hours or so and am planning on going back for more.

It's genuinely entertaining stuff, incredibly well made, and I imagine it would be fantastic for kids. There's so much information in there! It doesn't seem to be overly-easy though. The early campaigns are, but the later ones look like they'll be really tricky to beat. Properly surprised that I'm enjoying it as much as I am, though.

Anyone else spent any time with the game?

My son loves it, the Kinect animal feeding is awesome, and the squirting the elephants, etc. I keep meaning to play some more, but games keep getting in the way!

Sat there playing it last night, all alone in the house, randomly caught myself saying "Yeah...those new macaws are gonna look DOPE in my new tropical exhibit."

Then realised that I may have been dragged in too deep.

Was it the fact that no-one says dope any more that tipped you off?

I like the horns on the vehicles.

I say dope all the time. So it definitely isn't a dead word.
