I seen in our shared game pool this morning, one of my friends bought CRSED FOAD.
Gonna try this one today. Also been playing Descenders and Lonely Mountain Downhill.
Both turned out to better then expected.
Been playing some more L.A. Noire and I found out today that the remastered version on PS4/Xbox One comes with the DLC integrated in the main story, which is really cool. Because I was following a person on YouTube who's also playing this game but apparently they only had the standard version and so they missed out on a case that I just did in my playthrough. Anyway, I seriously love this game, I haven't played anything like it. This is probably the closest you can get to a detective experience while also being a fun game to play (shooting, driving, fighting, chasing sections etc. instead of just investigating over and over). This case that I just got done with was in particular rather interesting and one scene in it made me laugh out loud just because of how it came out of nowhere, lol. Like the lead up was non-existent since I didn't even think much about the clues that led up to it. While this game takes itself seriously, there are some genuinely ridiculous moments here and there that definitely makes me believe that this is the 1940s, lol.
Another game I've been playing more recently is Fallout 3, specifically the DLC. I just started the Operation Anchorage DLC and this one feels so different compared to the main game. It's structured as linear levels with a strict focus on shooting and it reminds me a lot of games such as Call of Duty and Wolfenstein. Guess this was rather cool to experience as DLC back in the day, but probably wouldn't make much sense today lol, since you expect "more of the same" when buying DLC for this kind of game. It's interesting though and I'm looking forward to playing more of the DLCs.
Well I just got Oblivion GOTY Edition in the mail today and I've been playing it for the last hour and I genuinely can't believe that I haven't played more Elder Scrolls games. Like these are just so addicting and are pretty much the "OG Breath of the Wilds" due to their open ended nature. There are tons of stuff to explore and the combat is so much fun, on top of a great progression system. After I'm done with Fallout 3 and its DLCs, I can definitely see myself playing through Oblivion next.
Playing through these games now makes me glad that Microsoft purchased ZeniMax. Having games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls be first-party exclusive is huge, but a lot of people tend to downplay this acquisition due to a few shortcomings from Bethesda in recent years. I mean yeah Fallout 76 wasn't good (at first) but Fallout 3, New Vegas, Oblivion, Skyrim and even Fallout 4 were great games. Just because a company made one mishap doesn't mean that they now are a terrible company with bad IPs. I'm personally looking forward to Elder Scrolls 6 because I know that the previous Elder Scrolls were phenomenal and this one is going to be that as well.
Been playing the beginning of Star Wars Knights of the Old Repubic II for an hour or so ago earlier tonight. backtracking in the mining compound area its a combination of the first KOTOR game with Dead Space.
and that other ship just arrived which is making the exploring even longer.
Im already getting tired of the game. jeez lol. Beginning in Knights of the Old Republic didnt take this damn long
Been playing a bunch of dif games. Mostly trying all the games on the Sega retro pack I bought 2 days ago (90% of the games i have tested are grubbish). Me and my GF tried Stacking yesterday (was okay) . Gonna be playing The Four Kings casino and slots & Unturned today and tomorrow.
installed Final Fantasy XV off of the X Box Game Pass Ultimate from the X Box store.
Old Man Cid the car mechanic and his daughter/granddaughter in daisy dukes and showing off some cleavage Yeah shes a bit too sexy but not that big of a deal in my opinion. At least its not one of those odd Japanese RPG games made for the Nintendo 3DS or whatever
Well I just bought a month of Game Pass after having not subscribed to it for almost four months and since then a lot of great games have been added, including EA titles. I've got plenty of games in plan for the coming month. Right now though, I'm playing through Peggle 2, Gears 5 story DLC and Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. These games are so much fun! It's been years since I played a Peggle game and Peggle 2 is so good. Weird how they haven't made another entry in this series since then. The Gears 5 DLC is also really good and I'm absolutely loving the characters so far! Their behaviour actually reminds me of the badassery of the characters from the first Gears of War, so it's definitely a refreshing take on the series after having focused on telling a more emotional story these past two games. Lastly, the Yooka-Laylee game is basically Donkey Kong Country, which is great although the controls take a while to get used to on an Xbox controller. Probably would've felt better with a PS4 or Switch controller with more flat buttons, but I'll get used to it over time.
Other games I'm planning on playing are for example Call of the Sea, Haven, Dante's Inferno, Gears Tactics, Unravel, Sea of Solitude, Greedfall, Carto and many more. I'm glad that I waited a good while for these games to be added before I subscribed again. Lots of titles to enjoy now!
I've been playing Destiny 2 lately and I was pretty hyped getting into this game since I've always wanted to experience this series for years now. However, after having played it for a couple of hours, it's feels rather disappointing. Granted, the gunplay and the overall combat feel absolutely fantastic and the gameplay loop can get addicting, but that's pretty much it. The story feels bare-bones, the objectives feel too simple and there's way too much backtracking. Not to mention that the developer has apparently removed levels from the game for some reason, so the feeling of progressing is very limited. It just doesn't feel like a good game to play on your own at all. In fact, I would love to play this with friends but as it stands right now, I might just move on to other games for now at least. Might play it now and then because I would still like to see the later areas as well as the DLC areas.
Started playing Call of the Sea today and the game is pretty good so far, although it doesn't feel that well optimised for base Xbox One. Still I'm glad that I can at least play it.
If I had to sum it up it one sentence, this game is pretty much a linear story-driven The Witness. There are lots of intricate puzzles to solve and the story is rather interesting. I've finished the two first chapters thus far so I haven't experienced much but from what I've seen this game could turn out to be something special. Really looking forward to playing more.
Started Battlefield 1 today and it began rather promising with an interesting take on narrating WW1 in terms of how brutal it was (and just wars in general) but the missions are not that interesting. The first one I did was a tank mission, which was fun but then it quickly became repetitive. Same thing with the next one which was a stealth mission, which was refreshing but the issue is that they have you repeat the same process over and over with barely any variety. It would've been interesting if they mixed these sections up instead of having four sections tank and four sections stealth consecutively. Really don't understand why they designed the missions like this. And the next one is apparently another stealth mission. It's so boring, but at least the story is fairly interesting thus far. Hopefully the missions become better the further in the game I get.
Stated up Need For Speed: Payback on Game Pass today since I needed some variety from all the indie games and shooters I've been playing. I haven't played a single game in this series, which is one of the reasons why I decided to play this game. Another reason is that I wanted to play a racing game with a storyline and so far Payback doesn't disappoint. While the story isn't anything to write home about, it does its job of giving you reason to keep playing the game. I've sadly played so much Forza throughout the years that I'm kinda burned out on strictly racing without something motivating me. And since the Forza games don't really offer a storyline, I turned to NFS instead.
What I'm really liking about this game besides the story is how the game keeps up a great pace. You're constantly pushed into a race, almost too much if you ask me. I've barely had any breaks in between races, lol. But I think that's good in a way since I just want to race, I don't feel like exploring an open world or anything like that. And the story helps motivate me, so this will definitely be one game I'll play to completion. I might even become an NFS fan after this, especially when considering how many NFS games that are available on Game Pass Ultimate now thanks to EA Play. As long as they have a decent story mode, I'll definitely play them as well.
